More Chicago Shadiness Surfaces

Who does the Chicago Public School system think they are? Starbucks????
According to a new report, some Chicago Public Schools employees 'bent rules' so they could spend $67,000 for espresso machines.
Funny business seems to be all too common in Illinois government agencies!
The report went on to say that a majority of the 30 machines purchased for an alleged culinary arts program have gone unused.
And, several months after the purchases only three were in use, though not for the program.
One has apparently disappeared and 22 hadn't even been opened.
It was also revealed that employees separated the purchases to stay under $10,000 so they wouldn't have to seek competitive bids or school board approval.
One employee has been fired and disciplinary action is pending against three others.

Unfortunately, maybe some of t hose espresso machines are being used at the homes of some school administrators. Sad…..

I grew up on the fine public school system of the USA and looke at me my Engrish is fine! I know the capital of new york is new york city. I know there is 56 states in the country or somthing like that! And I got me a job! So screw them kids. The teachers can have theme there expresso. let the kids suffer!

Of course the politicians tell us it's not the quality of the union backed teachers that is the problem with the schools but that we just don't throw enough money at the schools…and never mind that we pay more, per student, than most countries in the world and the children still come out dumbed down.

The Chicago Public School system is just as corrupt as the state officials. CPS is run by a bunch of inexperienced people who have no right to be in the positions they are in. All of the major positions involved in CPS are filled by people who "know somebody"! Friends or cousins hook eachother up with these high paying positions and they screw the entire system up! Every high ranking official in the Chicago Public School system, except for the CEO, is black and they are all out for themselves! Everyone (White Teachers) who work in CPS call it the "Boys Club"!
I worked for CPS for 5 miserable years and I finally got the hell out of that shit hole of a city this Summer.
Re: buitenhuis – Dude! I used to think the same thing about Chicago, until I worked for CPS and lived in the city for 10 years. The place sucks! The blacks and hispanics are taking over the place! You have to pay to walk your dog and have picnics. Crime is rampid! I moved to central IL and life is so nice, relaxed and how it is supposed to be. You must be a Lincoln Parker who hasn't been robbed, burglarized or had your car broken into.
