The Church Of Scientology Speaks

jetttravolta21.jpg

It seems that John Travolta and his family won't be resting for a while. Especially with all the new reports coming out about them and the circumstances surrounding their son Jett Travolta's tragic passing.

As we all know by now, Jett's death certificate cities 'seizures' as the cause of death. And that's leading to a lot of experts to speak out as to the cause of the seizures.

An attorney for the Travoltas said Jett had a history of seizures, along with being treated when he was two for Kawasaki syndrome, a rare disease that can lead to cardiac problems.

Medical specialists state that it is highly unlikely that the disease had anything to do with his death.

Others have claimed that Jett was really suffering from Autism, which the Travolta family has denied. Others claim Jett was suffering from Epilepsy.

Dr. Bruce Cohen, a staff neurologist at the Cleveland Clinic, said "Sudden death in epilepsy is not an unheard-of phenomenon."

And in rare cases he said about one in 1,000 epileptics die each year from a condition known as "sudep," which is a sudden and unexplained death that typically occurs with no sign of a seizure.

Though some aren't even sure if the autopsy officials in the Bahamas even know of that term. Dr. Cohen adds, "We're dealing with a massive lack of information."

Even Scientologists are having to defend their cult "religion" as to avoid anymore negative press about them not allowing medication and such.

Tommy Davis, a spokesman for the Church of Scientology International in Los Angeles, says "The bottom line is that Scientologists seek conventional medical treatment for medical conditions."

Another church spokesman said "Scientology is a religion. We deal with the spirit, and mental and spiritual factors that affect someone's happiness and well-being."

  5. 5

    Sad, so sad…. :(

  6. 6

    OK THERE! NEXT FAG BOY!

  7. 7

Some religions don't believe in any medical treatment. It was his time to go..simple as that. When it's your time to go thats it..game over.

  8. 8

Bottom line, these people lost their son, STFU, and show them some respect!

  9. 9

PEREZ GET OF YOUR FAT ASS AND GET SOME REAL GOSSIP STORIES YOU FAGTARD!

  10. 10

Knew it was only a matter of time before they spoke on this…

  11. 11

Without wanting to appear unsympathetic - I'm bored with this now

  12. 12

Tommy Davis is Anne Archer's son.
Watch how he behaves on the BBC!
$cientology is lying to cover up their enormous and
unspeakable crimes of inadvertently killing Jett Travolta.
They DO NOT allow medications that effect the brain…
those medications may render their mind control
    techniques ineffective.

  13. 13

    WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. 14

Mmm what if it was autism? so sad :(

  15. 15

Too sad poor family that has to deal with all the negativity at this sad times, but, the beliefs of this church may have contributed to this life taken so young. I had never heard that John Trovoltas sons was ill in any way, they never showed him in public but, still you never heard of him doing something for his illness like Jenny Macarthy does or even Brian Literell making his childs illness public so maybe they can help others. The Trovoltas kept it quiet. Either way it is very sad and we should just let them have their time to grief I am sure they will question their believes when all this is said and done. I hope all scientologist reflect on what happend.

  16. 16

    .
The Church of Scientology is not recognised by government as religion in Germany, Great Britain, Belgium, France, Ireland, Israel, Luxemburg, Mexico and other countries.
It's time USA recognized Church of Scientology as a dangerous cult and outlawed it also.

  17. 17

there wouldn't be so much speculation if they weren't such a secretive "society"

  19. 19

HEY PEREZ HOW'S THE BRA I SENT YOU FOR YOUR MAN BOOBS! HOPE IT FIT!!!!!

  20. 20

Scientology is no more fucked up than any religion. I find it funny that people laugh at them, but believe Moses parted the Red Sea or JC walked on water. Fairy tales (no offence to fairies).

  21. 21

This scientology thing isn't recognized as a real religion is it? It's just absurd this Xenu story!

  22. 22

Hmmmmmmm. Well this is my take on it. And before I state that I really want you all to understand that I find this a complete tragedy. My heart truly goes out to the Travolta family. I think that poor young Jett probably did suffer from Autisum. Frankly I find it obvious that someone is questioning their faith here considering that a cremation was done immediately following an autopsy. And in the Bahamas and not the US? Odd! I understand that Scientology does not believe that Mental Illness is an actual disease. If you are unaware, Autisum is listed in the DSM: A diagnostic manual for psychologists and psychiatrists. Nevertheless I believe that the results would have probably concluded that young Jett died of a seizure related to Autisum and if that got out it would cause big problems for "The Church" of Scientology. And even more so it would look like the Travoltas avoided taking proper care for their son due to their bogus religion.
I'm probably going to upset someone with this, but to bad, these are my beliefs. I was a psych major and my thesis in college was on Scientology. What do you really know about the subject??

  23. 23

EVERYONE JUST NEEDS TO LEAVE MY JOHN TRAVOLTA ALONE ALREADY….ALL THIS SHIT MAKES EVERYTHING A MILLION TIMES WORSE FOR HIM….I'M VERY UPSET CUZ I LUV HIM MORE THAN OPRAH DOES

  24. 24

just as jehovahs witnesses have been prosecuted for not allowing their children to recieve neccessary medical treatments because of their "beliefs" I feel the Travolta's should be under the same level of scrunity. It is ridiculous "religion" or not to refuse to accept that your child has a condition which contrary to scientoligist belief Jett had no control over. It has long been rumored that he was very ill, and placed with nannys. There is no other explanation for why a 16 year old boy needed nannys. The scientologist thought process is that someone who is ill from say autism or epileptic just needs to be "cleared" and undergo their "purification rundown" and get audited hour after hour, so that they can be normal. I'm sure all the scieno's are blaming this one on Lord Xenu…..guess no matter how much money you throw at the cult to free you from that bastard it just doesn't work!! Too bad the poor kid had parents who bought into that crap. Someone should look into rescuing all the other scientologist kids who aren't allowed treatment for mental disorders or the like……but you know they like to keep shit on the hussshhh

  25. 25

i read where they said that jett did not speak. that sounds like autism to me. seizures happen in like 30 percent of cases and since they don't recognize autism they came up with some other diagnosis to go on - whatever they could make fit. it is really sad that if it was autism that he was made to feel defective and that he needed to be cleansed of pods instead of actually being helped. my heart goes out to the travoltas, but most of all to the jett who maybe could have been helped if the family beliefs were different. to me this is neglect just like families who get their kids taken away because of malnutrition.

  26. 26

I get really upset when I see parents putting any religion over a child. Wake up Scienstupidness people, the POPe also used church bullshit thousands of years ago to get people to give up their money and give the Republians the church vote. A cult and that's all it is. John and the rest of the idiots should be ashamed to hold their head up to Jesus. Better wake up, still have another kid. Learn a fucking lesson and don't act like that church is God, coz it's not.

  27. 27

You should take the time you are using being an A** about this sad story and use that time to learn about seizure disorders.
Epilepsy means that someone has had more than two seizures…the press has already said he has had multiple seizures.
SUDEP only occurs during sleep…so unless he fell asleep in the shower, this is a non issue
Visit epilepsy foundation or coping with epilepsy sites to become informed.

  28. 28

They seek for medical conditions, but not mental… like autism….bunch of bullshit!

  29. 29

Leave the Church and the family alone! Scientology has NOTHING to do with the death. If your talking shit about the religion why dont you find out about it for yourself and get your facts straight instead of believing bull shit about it. Not everything is true that you hear… Im glad the Tom Davis spoke about it. Its all true.

  30. 30

I really have an issue with the statement that “Jett had round-the-clock care and supervision from two nannies as well as other safety precautions” someone dropped the ball. Nothing has been mentioned about the two male Nannies and why they didn’t administer CPR. A death of a celebrity or a relative will be newsworthy so it’s unrealistic not to expect the coverage especially when there are unanswered questions.

  31. 31

Re: SweetPat – I dont think Perez even writes on here anymore. I think he lets his pee-ons do it for him. LOSER!

  32. 32

WHAT ABOUT BROOKS SHIELDS' MEDICAL CONDITION OF POST PARTUM DEPRESSION??? YOU SEE, THE CULT'S VIEW OF WHAT IS A MEDICAL CONDITION IS NOT WHAT A PROFESSIONAL IN THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY'S WOULD BE!!! THIS IS A SICK IN THE HEAD CULT–SO OF COURSE THEY CAN'T ADDRESS MENTAL PROBLEMS AND EVEN MANY DISEASES OF THE BODY!!! OH, AND KISSES SWEETPIECE!!!

Re: JokerBaby – What in the world are you talking about Joker Baby, this about a family who lost their son, many religions, practices or faith have different beliefs of who the creator is. You have your right to practice whatever you believe in, but to put John and his family down after his son died is sick, and if you are a true christian it is sad that you would even do that. Please use the internet to find the facts okay.

  38. 38

This is not a defense nor an explanation of a religion. This is a defense of a policy of a religion made up of a lot of dogma/policies, which still says very little about the particular situation at hand.

people really need to lay off and allow this family to grieve and put their son to rest…it is dispicable to hear all these accustaions…and crap…the media needs to leave the travoltas alone i can only imagine what they are going thru on top of dealing with this disgusting media circus feeding frenzy off the death of their child…

  41. 41

Re: sniffle – LMAO Catholics believe the old testament is a pariable. sort of like a fairy tail. But you are pretty darn funny!

  42. 42

""The bottom line is that Scientologists seek conventional medical treatment for medical conditions.""

The problem here is that Scientologists don't recognize Autism as a "medical condition." So Jett never got the treatment he needed. HIs stupid parents, belonging to that ridiculous scam/cult, killed him. But both the cult and the Travoltas have been so busy spinning this death, don't anyone expect a "thank you" note for your flowers any time soon . . .

  43. 43

Re: guilty of being white – So then you take no precautions to continue living? I doubt that unless you dont look both ways to cross the street. or you dont take antibiotics if you had a staph infection. Thats what we are saying. He could have prevented this from happening if he was on meds, wore a helmet or had better supervision. Plus I agree with the comment why was John doing CPR when he had two nannies on duty. Shouldnt they have been doing CPR?

  44. 44

The 'Church' that doesn't want to be called a church yet wants the same protections and tax exemptions. Xenu needs to hit the floor and do 20!

  45. 45

Autism is not a mental illness, it's a neurological condition which also may predispose them to seizures etal. A psychiatrist's only involvement with someone afflicted with Autism is their ability to prescribe psychotropic medication and their wealth of knowledge in that area. I am hoping a pediatric neurologist had some involvement in his care as my own son does, who is Autistic. Unfortunately, Scientology is under the misconception that Autism is a mental illness/disorder instead of it's true designation as a neurological disorder. This is why all the attention to this story and tragedy. If something isn't even recognized, light never shed on the actual underlying condition, there isn't any way to receive the proper treatment that may have helped avoid such a horrific tragedy such as a death of a child. We do need to be concerned and not hide our heads in the sand. A child's welfare is everyone's business, or it should be.

  46. 46

why did they take him off of depocote (which is also classified as a psychiatric drug) because it wasn't effective anymore and replace it with something else? you don't just take someone off of meds who has a history of grand mal seizures and replace it with nothing! scientology doens't believe in these types of drugs and they took him off and he died. bottom line.

    47

I have worked with people living with Autism before…I have seen a recent video of Jett… I do see a large similarity between past autistic people I have worked with and Jett.

  48. 48

The statement speaks for itself: "The bottom line is that Scientologists seek conventional medical treatment for medical conditions"
As Scientology does not consider seizures or epilepsy to be a medical condition which can be treated with medication. They are even campaining against it with slogans like "Psychatrist hooking kids on drugs".There photos of that actress who had a show called "Fat Actress" Christie Allen holding up signs with that slogan on the web. See for yourself. Ironically enogh she used to be a film partner of John Travoltra.Very sad that a well-trained and expierienced neurologist /psychatrist would probably have saved this childs life! Even at this hard time critical critizens have to be allowed to openly question this life threatening teaching of Scientology. It endangering the lives of thousands of children born into this cult developing a seizure disorder. This is very serious. Find out for yourself! This is not personal. The Travoltas are victims. Let them grieve in peace.

  49. 49

Oh that's right, Private Cruise, don't make any fucking effort to get to the top of the fucking obstacle. If Xenu would have wanted you up there he would have audited your ass up there by now, wouldn't he?

  50. 50

They are all FULL OF SHIT check out the deaths that have occured at the Fort Harrison Hotel in Florida…really weird shit.

  51. 51

My heart goes out to the Travolta's loss of their beloved son Jett, but I do believe that they hold complete responsibility for not getting him the proper medical care and medication that he so badly needed! John completely hid Jett from the public; I believe because he was ashamed of his autism, and he believed like Scientology does; that autism is a mental weakness!!!!! He let Jett suffer violent seisures, every 4 days; he shoild be held accountable in some way for his ignorance!!!! He should be ordered to talk publicly all over the world about autism and how he mistakenly ignored its sometimes fatal symptoms!!!!

  55. 55

Agree 100% Charmoll–I would wager that the mannies weren't doing CPR because they aren't trained to do so. The one guy who found Jett is a PHOTOGRAPHER. That's another level of the Travoltas' negligence toward this child: hiring people certified by Xenu instead of people with proper medical certification to care for a child with serious and life threatening issues.

Of course, all the training in the world doesn't matter if all mannies sleep through the child's seizure. I learned that in Child Neglect 101.

  56. 56

the cute kid would probably live right now if his parents werent such scientology freaks. I mean, stealing Trovalta's money was clearly not enough, they had to kill his kid to. FUCK scientology, why hasnt anyone burned the damn "church"down?

  57. 57

oh, and rest in peace dear jett!!:(

  58. 58

This is very sad people, that we would even consider someone losing their family member to a sickness even Gossip worthy.

  59. 59

Re: RedWeatherTigerD – You know I heard something about he was hired because of an affair with John? WTF?

  60. Tulip says – reply to this

    60

Autism is a neurological disease. It is not mental illness. I am sure the Travoltas did what they felt best for their son. If they prevented treatment because of their cult, then they will carry that with them for the rest of their lives. They loved him, he was thier child, they did what they thought best.

  61. 61

I don’t idolize celebrities and certainly not as parents. I noticed that there was a picture on the net of Jett and Kelly; Jett was walking on his toes which is very common for autistic children. It’s unreal that they would refuse to address this. It’s been reported that Jett had internal bleeding and bruises on his body yet there seems to be no explanation of the causes. Why is everyone giving Perez such a hard time? Google Travolta; it’s all over the net not just on this site.

  62. 62

I feel like this story didn't have any point to it. Are we grasping at straws here?

Also, when you really think about it, Scientology could have merit as a religion because other religions in the world are just about as crazy. A guy rising from the dead? The seas parting? Multiple gods and multiple lives after this one? A state of nirvana? Imparted souls in humans? They all sound equally cooky.

    65

I can believe their word that he had Kawasaki's disease, and I can also accept that he suffered from seizures. BUT….there had to be more to it than that. In videos, Jett is seen being guided around, his hand being held, and helped into a car. That wouldn't be necessary if he had Kawasaki's or was prone to seizures. It looks like there was a constant problem. But I don't think the Travolta's were not loving parents or negligent in Jett's care. I just think they didn't want the public to know every health issue that Jett had (which is their right).

  66. 66

It cannot be denied that Jett was adored. There was no neglect here, just a terrible accident.

  67. 67

This is very sad and for people to be here to debate a religion or practice as the cause of death is very idiotic. Scientology, Christianity, Buddhism, or is not the cause of their sons death. It was a long lasting medical condition. For people to even add this to the lost of their child is truly sad. We need to all voice our concerns and show that we feel their lost of a love one.

  68. Opie says – reply to this

    68

Jeff Kathrein is reported to be the "nanny" who found Jett's body; he's also rumored to be John's lover.

Try searching on the name "Jeff Kathrein" and see what happens to your computer when you click on some of the links.

  69. 69

The sad thing is than in a few months the Travoltas, with their power and money, will be able to bury this story. And Tom Cruise will be talking about vitamins and recruiting celebrities to the cult and Will Smith will be giving thousand of dollars to this "church" …Life will go on and we'll eventually forget that a POOR RICH BOY died because their parent refused to give him proper medical care.

Jett will be forgotten and Scientology will be very much alive, recruting idiots and killing the innocents. And nobody will do a shit about it.

  70. 70

these people LOST THIER SON !!! you can look at the kid and tell he had developmental issues and children with severe epelipsy(sp) do die even with the best of care, i have witnessed it first hand. No matter what I feel about the kooky religion, they would be inhuman not to be guilt ridden at this time. Maybe the kind thing to do is let these people grieve in peace.

  71. 71

Why was this kid allowed to get sooooo heavy? Obesity on top of all his other medical conditions? The parents are totally to blame for this.

  72. 72

Re: P.S. Pufnstuf – Actually depekote causing weight gain. its kind of difficult to stop that from happening. The weight gain I honestly dont think was anyones fault.

  73. 73

Re: P.S. Pufnstuf – PS CUTE DOG! I have a frenchie is that one or a boston?

  74. 74

Charmoll, yeah, WTF indeed with the gay rumors and the manny. Guess it was the only way they could keep the dude on the payroll without raising suspicion. Until now. How DARE Jett die and ruin their arrangement! Now dude'll have to pretend to be the gardener.

redsonja1313 said, wisely: "children with severe epelipsy(sp) do die even with the best of care" True, sadly true. But doesn't someone have to question the level of care Jett received? Just b/c they were rich or they seem to love him does not mean he had the best of care. The denial (some might say lies about Kowasaki's being the only condition he had), the conflicting stories from "official" sources, the gaping holes in the story of the night/day Jett died…I don't know that all those question marks exist in most of the tragic yet unpreventable deaths of children who get reasonable medical care.

  75. 75

I am a student of pharmaceutical sciences with epilepsy living in Germany right now. I checked the facts and press releases for myself and I am convinced now that Jett Travoltas death would very likely have been avoidable had he been on adequate medication to treat his seizures. Whether he was suffering from Kawasaki syndrome or autism doesn't matter in this regard. The simple fact that he was on no antiepleptic medication whatsoever at the time of the deadly seizure speaks for itself. Normally children with such a high frequency of epileptic fits as the Travoltas lawyers stated I know would be wearing helmets and other special gear to protect them and be under constant supervision in order that emergency medication can be administerd if needed. I guess the Travoltas are simply victims of the teachings of a cult which doesn't recognize epilepsy as a medical condition or the drugs against it to be helpful. Some antiepileptic medications like DEKAPOTE which Jett is said to have been taking for some time are also approved to treat psychic disorders. Scientology strongly dissaproves of that. There are even photos on the internet of Kirstie Alley (member of the Scientology) holding up signs with the slogan "Psychatrist hooking kids on drugs" . At the protests they only speak about drugs like Ritalin and Adderall as they are commonly known and easier to argue against ea. misuse, not given for a life theatening condition.

  76. 76

In my opinion Jett Travolta and his parents are victims of the misinformation and technique of denial of a dangerous organisation no religion. Let's spread the word so that other children in the same situation recieve appropriate medical care and no cases of failure to render assistance are commited to helpless children with neurological disorders in the future. I deeply pity the Travoltas. I am sure they were loving and careing parents to Jett. Let them grieve in peace. They have learned in the hardest possible that what Scientology organisation tells its members to do is very dangerous.

  77. 77

In Germany and many others the Scientology organisation has never been recognized as a Curch or Religion. This status would give them a Tax Exempt like they have in the U.S. and many other benefits. Due to the organisation being more structured like a money making business than a spiritual group their request for this status has been declined. They sued and lost. Now they are playing the Third Reich card saying they are being prosecuted like other minorities in the twentieth century. This is an outrageous thing to do especially in a country like Germany where many jews, homosexuals and disabled persons were murderd during Holocaust. No wonder the Jewish community has protested against such nonsense. The German Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution is observing the activites of the Scientology organisation as they are considered to be a possible threat to our free democratic constistitution.

  78. 78

I know what seizures feel like, too. Broke my jaw three times and shoulder during seizure. Sometimes to stop breathing during seizures and turn all blue, you bite your tongue and spit blood, you probably even wet yourself everytime. Now look at the press release off the Travoltas lawyer: "Each seizure was like a death". Can you imagine what Jett was going through?
Putting a child off all medication against seizures is something normally only done very carefully after every possible substance tried and if the side effects tremdendously outweigh the benefit. This is very rare when you consider that there are more than 15 different medications to treat seizures approved by the FDA some even for children up to the young age of two which you can even combine in many cases in order to reduce frequency and strenght of the fits.

  79. 79

Re: qazter – "Whether he was suffering from Kawasaki syndrome or autism doesn't matter in this regard. "

I couldn't have said this better myself, and as a matter of fact I was having trouble putting this into words. Thank you for doing it.

I also agree that the Travolta's have suffered enough, and God willing if their son's death was due to the organizations "beliefs, policies" that the Travoltas recognize it. However, most people can't see the forest for the trees. May they be given the strength to see the big picture, and realize what is wrong and right.

  80. 80

I don't think for a minute that the Travoltas didn't do anything they could for their kid. I doubt they stood around watching him suffer out of denial. Give the whole Scientology bashing a rest. All religions/faiths/beliefs have the capacity to fuck people up royally if they let them. They just lost their child - what the hell is wrong with people?

  81. 81

Re: jcapflorida – To a degree I agree with you. Leave the Travoltas alone. HOWEVER, if Scientology policies/beliefs had anything to do with this, NOW IS THE TIME TO DISCUSS IT! Religion is given the tax exempt status under the assumption that it provides a benefit to society as a whole, and in effect pay its taxes through that benefit received. However if any religion has a negative impact on society even if that negative is measured through individual trauma then it is time to renegotiate religions position in that society. The example that comes to mind is the current political climate, and the zealots that have invaded our political system in violation of church and state. Religion is not exempt from discernment of its benefit to society, and unless such situations are examined how can one determine ANY religions benefit. This isn't necessarily a bashing of Scientology, but more of an explanation to the general public is not only warranted, but it should be demanded of Scientology. If a child had died in a snake handling church from handling snakes, you bet the general public would be up in arms. YES NOW IS THE TIME TO DISCUSS SCIENTOLOGY's BENEFIT to society.

  82. 82

Re: P.S. Pufnstuf – that is so sad that you stoop so low to talk about Jett's weight. Do you have family on medication? People that are on different types of medication sometimes gain weight.

Re: Flippar – Dude there are many religions that exploited people over history, from Christianity, Islamic, Buddhism, and more. That is human nature. There has been religious wars for ages. Many blood has been shed over differences of religion. A thousand year old war is in progress because of it. Why keep trying to add fuel to this debate about religion. Just tell the family you feel their pain. That is all we need to say.

Re: Flippar – If "NOW IS THE TIME TO DISCUSS SCIENTOLOGY's BENEFIT to society." We might as well include every religion in that discussion. Christian faith in America believed in slavery and total genocide of many of the Native Americans, Jews and Palestinian's are still fighting over the same peace of dirt, Islamic terrorist will strap bombs to children.

  85. 85

But what do they consider a real medical "condition"?

Re: .perezhilton.com – Would you give any religion a pass for the death of someone? Do you give Israel a pass for collateral damage, and Hamas the same pass for collateral damage? Just because an organization is religious does not make it exempt from examination by a society, and yes I do mean ALL religions. The point here is that this happens to be topical, and current, and it is fair to discuss this and not pass over it. Otherwise we should all hold our tongue over what is going on with Hamas and Israel and just tell them both we are sorry for your losses, tell the U.N. to sit down and shut up, along with all other nations, and don't interfere. I do feel the families pain, but I think Scientology beliefs and practices should be open to society, and Scientology does owe an explanation of sorts. Again, we as a society have examined beliefs and practices when it comes to child endangerment, vacinations come to mind. I am not passing judgment; I am merely saying that the tragedy is not reason enough to extinguish a rational and thoughtful discussion of the situation, indeed the tragedy is all the more reason for a rational insightful discussion.

    Re: jarvisbearcub

I assume any condition not treated by neurologist/psychatrist as their founder declared this particular medical profession to be enemies of the Sientology org.

Once again this organisation S. is not a religion. This organisation does not meet the criterias to be one. Judaism, Islam, Chrstianity Hinduism and Buddism are all world religions. I'm not saying they are all good or bad but they are world religions nevertheless. If you still don't unterstand the difference between a money making business organisation and world religion go look it up in a book, dear .perezhilton.com . The org abused the
system of the U.S. the declare a business company a religion with only one goal: The Tax exempt. Every single U.S. tax payer is to paying for the TAX exempt every single day. Actually quite clever especially in times of worldwide financial struggle.

  88. 88

Scientology is NOT a religion. The "founder" of scientology is a SCIENCE FICTION WRITER who couldn't sell his book so he turned it into a religion. honestly. i don't know how people even believe that shit.

Re: Opie – Listen…it is no secret that John Travolta has liked young men for YEARS…I have said it before & will say it again, they don't just have a house in Florida, they have one in California, less than 10 minutes from where I live. A large part of Angelinos work in the entertainment industry, I know several actors, director's, camera people, set director's & Grip's, I have had AT LEAST 4 different people that have worked DIRECTLY with John tell me that he openly takes extra's, crew member's, whomever he likes to his trailer. His wife turns the other cheek. Hollywood is a weird place people, that's why we call it Hollyweird…

Re: P.S. Pufnstuf – At 16 he could pretty much feed himself…what are you stupid? I have a som the same age who needs to take it easy on the junk food & lose a few pounds but that in NO WAY is my fault! He is almost an adult…if you don't have something intelligent to bring to the table then be quiet…the real issue here has NOTHING to do with his weight and EVERYTHING to do with his ashamed parents!

  91. 91

God almighty, what the fuck is wrong w/some of you?
A boy is dead, parents are grieving…show some respect.
And their religion HAD NOTHING to do w/this tragic death.
I find it disgusting that U.S. Dr.'s would question another Dr.'s knowledge…yes other countries have good and knowledgable doctors, imagine that.

    Re: qazter
Really? Then explain the wealth of the Catholic church…and why the Vatican and the Pope have the right to put their nose in world politics?
And while we are at it, does no one here give to the collection plate? I'd call that money making.

IT'S TIME TO STOP THIS CULT ONCE AND FOR ALL. WRITE TO CONGRESS AND GET THEM INVESTIGATED AND THEIR TAX EXEMPT STATUS REVOKED!

SEE HOW TOMMY DAVIS BEHAVES IN THE BBC DOCUMENTRY "SCIENTOLOGY AND ME" WITH JOHN SWEENEY.

  94. 94

TOMMY DAVIS (THE SON OF ANNE ARCHER!) IS A NUT, A LIAR,AND A MAJOR CLOSET CASE. AND SCIENTOLOGY
IS AN ORGANIZATION (CULT) not a religion. They do NOT treat illnesses with traditional medicine.
Anyone who has looked into thier madness knows this.

    Re: YeahSo?
Scientology had a great deal to do with the diagnosis and treatment or lack of treatment for Jett. Even though the seizure medication (if they were really giving it to him) stopped working that was no excuse not to try other options unless your cult doesn’t approve. The treatments they prescribed may have exacerbated the problem.

  96. 96

I suffer from a seizure condition, I never had Kawasaki's. There has been at least 5 occasions in which I was alone (once in the shower) and went into a grand mal. During the seizures I have swallowed my tongue and was blue until help arrived.

I believe that Jett may have had a seizure and was alone and either hit his head or swallowed his tongue and was deprived of oxygen. I say this because after my shower incident. I was hospitalized for a week due to oxygen deprivation.

All I can say is I know that they are a strong family and Scientology or not, they lost their son. Whether they chose to comment or not on his condition all these years, it is none of anyone's business. Personally, I am embarrassed of my seizures.

Bless the family as they get through this horrific time. As a parent I believe that my child should bury me, not the other way around.

  97. 97

Scientology is NOT a religion - it's a cult that deals with taking money out of peoples' pockets. They don't give a rat's ass about anyone's happiness and well-being, except for that of David Miscavige and the other high-level Scientology scammers.
