The insanely annoying chef is producing a new show for the Food Network starring a Latina actress/cookbook author named Daisy Martinez.
Viva Daisy premieres on Saturday for a six-week run.
The show will be the net's second show dedicated to Latin cooking.
The new show will be the first from Ray's production company, Watch Entertainment, that doesn't feature Ray.
We bet she'll make some 'surprise' appearance that will be laced with nauseating acronyms.

What a terrible photo of Rachael. I remember one of the contestants on this past year's "Next Food Network Star" show said she wanted to be the first Latina cooking star on the Food Network. She didn't win but obviously her idea did. Again and again.

Daisy Cooks! is a show on PBS in NY. It's actually really good, and she cooks great food. I hope they don't turn her into a Latina Rachel Ray like they did with the new Black lookalike Rachel Ray they have on the food network…

Once again, old news. However, I agree that Rachel should not try to do too much. What she does best and what got her famous was cooking, 30 minute meals, and being a regular person. Why does she not do any new ones anymore? I don't watch her talk show. I like her as a cook, 30 minute style. I don't need another talk show.
Please to Ms. Ray, make more 30 minute meal shows. Don't get too big a head and lose who you are.

She IS annoying, but this sounds like a great show! It's shocking that you would criticize her for backing a LATIN cooking show? At least she is creating jobs! Another point, if she was 'trying to hard' then she would feature herself in her production company (which, as you reported, she is NOT). What are you doing to help the economy besides report second hand gossip (lately) and using your site for your own personal gain to criticize people you don't like?

Re: kspicza – I lost weight eating only 30 minute meals for awhile. The key is MODERATION. Nobody in their right mind would eat the entire potfuls of meals she makes so well. Those meals are meant to last for days. Just eat measured serving portions, get some exercise, and you CAN do it!!

Re: Cath4Respect – Rachael is continuing to make 30 Minute Meals shows. She signed a BIG deal with the Food Network to continue making them over a year ago. However, she is not making as many as she used to, only about 150 shows a year now.
What I REALLY miss are her $40 a Day shows. Why, oh why in this economy did they have to disappear? People NEED that show now! Shame on the Food Network for taking them off.
