Kelly Clarkson took to her official blog to talk about her newly unveiled album cover.
The very first American Idol says:
"we decided the cover of the album and just in case you haven’t seen it i’ll post it! it’s very colorful and they have definitely photo-shopped the crap out of me but i don’t care haha! whoever she is, she looks great ha! i’ve had so much fun with this album i really hope y’all dig it woohooooooooooo!!!!"

I love how she's honest about the photoshopping. *lol* I'm not a fan of her music but I hope she's successful with this album.
Her image is as fake as "her" music, even though the same people who britney spears counts on to write hits (dr.luke) wrote songs for her new album. She has a massive ego, telling clive davis that he was too old to know what was current, boasting that she knew what how to write hits even though her two biggest hits "since u been gone" and "breakaway" were both written by other people, as "my december" flopped she blamed her management by soon firing them, yep she's pretty "genuine" and "real".
I love the fact that she is like "yeah, they photoshopped the shiz out of me!" At least she is honest… unlike some others!

Wow, if you think "Breakaway" is her second biggest hit, then you really must not know much about her career. Because of You is definitely her second biggest, if not biggest success as a single, because it reached audiences outside of the U.S. and solidified her status as an artist around the world. You can attribute that single song as a reason why she can get a primetime interview in the U.K. this coming Sunday.
Anyway, can't wait to hear the rest of the new song! And I always find it refreshing how cheerful she is and how she likes to make fun of herself. As I always say, the only real celebrities are the ones that don't try to be one.

"Because of You" was also a huge hit for her, it was bigger than "Breakaway", and she wrote that song when she was 16. She also wrote on "Behind These Hazel Eyes", another number 1 hit for her. And maybe if her label had done more to promote "My December" then more people would've been able to see that it is not a bad album! Could she have gotten 7 hit singles out of it like she did her second cd…probably not. but there were a good 3-4 hits on there. And that's a good amount for any album. Kelly fighting to get the album she wanted out, doesn't mean she has a "massive ego". It means she's in it for the music, not the money.
Anyway, can't wait for the album and i'm glad Kelly can laugh at the things people tried to criticize her on.

Re: LiveItLoveItKC – But my december was promoted, she appeared at the earth day benefit concert in which millions across the world watched along with teen choice awards etc., most artists don't get 1/1000 of that publicity so it's hard for me to feel bad for her as most have to rely on word of mouth. Anybody who heard "never again" realized early that it was no "since u been gone" people can say she's doing for "art" but lets face it she isn't known for making byork style albums they're made to sell, if you asked any musician about the "i'm doing it only for the music" cliche they would tell you that it's bullshit, it flopped because it wasn't poppy enough. You might be right as far as "behind these hazel eyes" being a bigger hit than "breakaway" although "breakaway" was a top40 radio hit. There are other cases why I said she has a huge ego like self proclaiming that "from justin to kelly" was the next grease.

Dale: Kelly might have said once about her movie From Justin to Kelly, that "it's like grease." and you know what? she's not proud of that film. She was interviewed on dateline I think, and they said "one word to describe your movie From Justin to Kelly?" and Kelly replied with "umm…Legality?" She HAD to do it. It was in her contract when she auditioned for Idol. Kelly doesn't have a huge ego. She's a real person like you and I and does things and says things in the moment like we all do. She didnt tell Clive he was wrong. She just wanted to do her own thing, just once. She even said, "Just let me do this one project, and afterwards, we will work as a pair again." or something along those lines. She has great musical influences like Janis Joplin and Patty Griffin. She wanted to have her own album. Now, she's releasing this fourth album and people are thinking "Oh shes just doing what they're telling her to do" but thats not true. Kelly's happy she got to put out of own material, but this stuff is her material too. Yeah she has a lot of people helping her, like she's not writing every lyric on the album, but she is contributing, and she puts her own little twings and twangs into the song to make it her own. She's happy and excited and feels that most of this new material is the best yet, and can't wait for everyone to hear it.
