Singer/actress/diva Jill Scott will welcome her first child into the world in April.
Congrats!
Miz Scott spilled the beans on Friday at a press conference for her new HBO show, The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency.
She revealed that she discovered that she was pregnant just before leaving for Botswana, where she filmed the series.
"The first trimester I spent in Botswana. That was one of the biggest challenges of my life. First trimester! You're sick every morning. It was seven hours time difference, the heat, the bugs, the 14 hour days," said the crooner.
Wonder if she's going to join the growing list of celebs who give their baby nutty names??

So happy for her! The fact that Britney is still having #1 albums and Jill Scott is a sign of something seriously wrong in the record industry.
BTW - No.1 Ladies Detective Agency film aired here in the UK a few months ago and it is really amazing. The premise of the plot isn't all that groundbreaking, but to see such a luminous, beautiful woman on the screen and her life is VERY inspiring. Highly recommend it.
I don't know who this bitch is, guess I don't watch HBO much except for True Blood! Love Sookie Stackhouse books. The show is good.

She has one of the most amazing strong voices I have ever heard and seeing her live is an amazing experience. Since 2001 she has been nominated & has one SEVERAL BET awards, Image Awards, She was chosen "Lady of Soul" so before you feel the need to display your ignorance by saying "who is this bitch?" you might want to go check her out….and get some class while you're at it

This new story doesn't make sense - how could Jill Scott have spent her first trimester on location in Botswana when No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency already aired in the UK in March 2008? The director of the film died in a week before it aired on TV. If the baby is due in April, then her first trimester was during the summer months.
