John Travolta Will NOT Be at the Golden Globes

The grieving John Travolta will NOT be at tonight's Golden Globes ceremony, according to one of his reps.
Just this past Thursday, John and actress Kelly Preston held a memorial service for their recently departed son, 16-year old Jett.
Travolta was scheduled to present one of the night's awards.
Also, the Disney animated movie that 'stars' Travolta is up for the Best Original Song prize.

His not attending does not shock me. What DOES shock me is the adherence to a "cult" religion, such as Scientology is. It's a CRAZY set of beliefs that folks want to believe will be their salvation, like that kooky Kaballah.
I feel sorry for Travolta. Not only can he not "come out", but there's this scandal of his son not being properly cared for, this also is disruptive to probably his sanity, at times. Maybe it's no wonder that folks such as he, CLING to Scientology, and other bizarre pseudo-religions.

I find i quite amusing that religious people are bashing other "religious ppl". Everyone seems to think "theire" religion is the right one. Christians, muslims, buddhist, hindus, Jews, Chatolics, scientologist etc, you are just part of a game of lotto. Most likely non of you have the winning ticket.

Of course its HORRIBLE that he lost his child..wouldnt wish it on anyone ever, BUT, that boy had serious problems. He never spoke one time in 16 years but his parents refused to admit he had much more going on than Kawasakis Sydrome……they could have helped him but they didnt, either bacuse of theie religion or ignorance. If you had a chance to help your sick child wouldnt any normal person do that for thier child? He was autistic but they refused to deal with it and it may or may not have contribluted to his death…Sad IMO

Re: kacey_p28 – How do you know what he did or didn't do for his kid? I'm tired of all the speculation. He doesn't have to disclose shit about what his kid had or how it was treated. At least the Travoltas, unlike the Cruises, kept their kids out of the spotlight as much as possible. Every day you see Katie pimping out Suri. It's disgusting. As parents, we don't always make the right choices and for people who don't know a damn thing about this family to continuously criticize them or their religion you are all a bunch of assholes. This family has lost a child. I hope that I never have to endure that pain. I'm sure that the Travoltas are feeling a tremendous amount of guilt wondering what they could've done or if they did enough. Lay off of them!
