The How I Met Your Mother hottie hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time and reminded us why he's such a great actor.

His sense of timing is impeccable!

      Damn I can't watch this if I'm not in the U.S. I think. Anywho I'll look this up on youtube or something, I heart Doogie too! How I met your mother is the bestest show ever thanks to Neil.

      That was actually one of the funnier opening monologues I've seen recently. I had a laugh :)

      Are you kidding me? He was not funny at all, it was in my opinion, STUPID. I watched the whole show because I think he is a sweet guy but he should not ever host again unless someone knows his strong points.

      I know he's gay and all, but that guy is amazing, I love him! My favorite part of the show was the digital short where he played the theme to Doogie Howser lol

      His opening monologue reminded me of a very young Johnny Carson, with the wringing of the hands and even his neck movement. With his timing and sense of humor, he could be a great talk-show host. I don't think anything would stump him.

      I had my DVR all set to tape this and it DIDN'T. I am so bummed! I love NPH and Taylor Swift. I hope they have the entire show online soon so at least I can watch it. The monologue was great!

      He was excellent - and the MF can dance too - who knew? I was very impressed - much better than Ben Affleck sitting there like a large dead tree squinting to see the cue cards. I might have to start watching "HIMYM" now.

      He was SO good! I loved the monologue…When he mentioned Fred?…I laughed even harder because I had the BIGGEST crush on Fred Savage back then–videotape that episode and watched it over and over–
      One of the best "SNL's" of this year, hands down! :)

      He was great! I loved his skits. I have to say that is the first time I really laughed out loud at SNL. I loved watching him dance too - Wow. And the Digital Short was great. I am so glad he turned out to be a pretty normal guy, not a crazy druggie loser child star.
