Filed under: Britney SpearsBritney Spears was spotted scoping out Calabasas, her alleged new 'hood', over the weekend.
Sources say Brit Brit is giving up her Studio City home for one with a bigger back yard in the town of Calabasas, which is about 25 minutes north of Hollywood.
She's supposedly expressed a desire for a home that's in a more quiet and less trafficked neighborhood, closer to parks so her boys can play.
She'll definitely get that in well-heeled Calabasas, without having to give up luxe living!

The real question is how do the residents of Calabasas feel about the egocentric, self-satisfied, smug, used-up, no talent pop tart moving into the community? There goes the neighborhood! What was probably a quiet, laid back vicinity will now become a media circus every time she pokes her rats' nest head of hair outdoors. And, will she keep the kids in the backyard or drag them out into the streets for more opportune photo ops in a vain attempt to prove what a caring mother she's become?
Isn't she supposedly leaving on a 3 month tour in March? The two kids won't be spending much quality time at their new house when she's out lip-syncing and pseudo dancing her way through "Circus".
BS should give up any attempt at a "comeback" and strive to become a decent, mentally fit mother.

Nothing knew, so many of the celebs with kids live off the 101 and have apartments in either Hollywood or Burbank. I see plenty of them around the Malibu Creek and Agoura Hills area.
Re: litzie – YEah… I live in Calabasas and used to live in Malibu when she lived there. It's not that bad. The paparazzi all just chill at Starbucks. Luckily we have plenty of those.

Calabasas No Smoking Law
Calabasas secondhand smoke ordinance, which would prohibit smoking in all public areas of the city including parks, sidewalks and outdoor businesses.
The city council agreed to allow smoking in the following areas:
•Private residential property, other than housing used as a childcare or health care facility when employees, children or patients are present
•Designated smoking “outposts” in shopping mall common areas that are at least five feet away from any doorway or opening that leads to an enclosed area.
