Spanish soccer giants Real Madrid (David Beckham's old team), failed to acquire the world's #1 footie Cristiano Ronaldo last year.
But, it looks like 2009 may be the lucky year for them.
A Sky Sports soccer insider has reported that Crissy and the Spaniards have a 'secret' deal in place that would get the superstar to Madrid by the summer.
The team supposedly has $150+ million to pay Ronnie to play for them.
Soccer experts break that down to about $320K a week to play for Real Madrid.

First of all the amount of money they pay these athletes is sad esp. considering how the world is with money right now. Second, of all he would be making a HUGE mistake to leave England bc that's where he will shine. In England or Italy. In those countries he stands out. If he goes to Spain, even though he is an exceptional talent I don't think he will stand out. All the players in that league are crafty, do tricks, and are fast. I understand that's a dream of his, but he has a good thing where he is he should ride out this wave and then consider leaving even though 90% of England hate him lmao. How can you blame them? But, it would be a mistake for his career right now for him to leave.
