Hilary Duff Returns To Television….As A Lawyer!

In what's being touted as a "legal version of Doogie Howser, M.D.," Hilary Duff will star in a new sitcom as a young attorney fresh out of law school.
The new show is part of the Duffster's development deal with NBC.
Based on the true story of Kathleen Holtz - who, at 18, became the youngest person to pass the notoriously difficult bar exam - Barely Legal will be Duff's comedic return to television.
Sounds a little gimmicky, but good luck, Hil!

Sounds interesting. I'll give it a chance and not pass negative or overly positive judgement till I've seen a good few episodes. You can't really base an entire series off the pilot…
for some reason I don't think she's very believable as a fresh out of law school type…more like beauty school drop out. casting choice sucks!

A few years back, "Just Legal" was a tv show about the youngest boy to pass the bar and be an attorney….it lasted three episodes before it was canned.

Finally! I was wondering if she would ever be acting again. Although her playing a lawyer is strange, its a comedy, and she did well in Lizzie McGuire, which was sort of comedy? So who knows, she may be the perfect person to play Kathleen Holtz's role in Barely Legal. Lets see. =)
