Jade's Hanging On For Dear Life

U.K. reality star Jade Goody has admitted that doctors have only given her a 40 percent chance to survive her cancer battle, but she's determined to keep fighting on.
She says:
"I’ve been hanging on to life with my fingernails but I will not let go. Throughout my life I have had to cope with some really bad stuff but I have always turned out stronger than the thing trying to beat me. And with cancer it will be the same. Sometimes I think ‘I wonder how much time I’ve really got?’ But right now there is no answer to that."
Back in September, Jade's doctors discovered that her cervical cancer had advanced to stage 3 — the cancer had spread beyond the originally infected organ.
Fight on, Jade. We're rooting for you.

Yes, it is sad and tragic that people get sick and die, but why should I feel more sorry for her than anyone else? Didn't this cancer come from an STD that she could have avoided??? Does being sick with cancer make her a better person? No, it doesn't; she's the same person on the inside that she was before. Why are you glorifying her now that she is sick when you used to hate her when she was well?

Nobody likes cancer and its horrible to watch even the rudest person suffer from it. Anybody who has had family or friends die from cancer cannot help but sympathize. I wish her the best.

I'm a dj, and while reading just now, the phrase "hang on for dear life" occurred in the song I'm playing at the same time that my eyes fell across the words of the title Perez put on this Jane Goody bit. That said, I took it as a sign to pray for her again. So I did. You ought to, too.

My child was diagnosed with a rare tumour in Mar 08 at 13 mths old and was given a 20% shot at survival after 36 wks of chemo, surgery, more chemo and radiation. She's about to turn 2 and is now cancer free!! Cancer is scary but can be beaten.
