Not necessarily. Palin's supporters were the extremists. If McCain had picked wisey, more middle of the road republicans and fiscal conservatives would have noted for him. Contrary to popular opinion, the republican party is comprised mostly of these types. Many of them voted democrat BECAUSE of Pallin.
McCain lost because he was acting like a mealy-mouthed politician. He is not a true Conservative. Half of us didn't like him from the start, but technically he was more conservative than Obama; so as usual, it was the lesser of two evils once again, for those of us that really are conservative.
McCain is so very old he wouldn't have been able to run the country anyways! and I think he's so perverse under that conservative shield he puts up! lol! can't fool me old man! =D
