Arrested Development Movie Is A Go, But Will George Michael Be There?

So it looks like the ball is rolling on the Arrested Development movie, but the big question is whether or not its darling, Michael Cera, will sign onto the project.
At the tender age of 20, his star is on the rise, with roles in Superbad and Juno, so co-star Jason Bateman understands, saying, "The guy is 20 years old and I'm sure he doesn't want to screw up this opportunity."

He better decide soon! Arrested writer and producer Mitch Hurwitz is waiting on the decisions of all the actors to begin working on a silver screen script. If Cera decides not to return, Hurwitz says the film will most likely occur some time after the show left off.
He goes on to joke that the film will be something like "Valkyrie meets Hotel for Dogs."
Hah!
Come on, Michael! It won't be the same without you!

"Juno" will love him in "Arrested Development" even if the movie as a whole sucks…it's a Win-Win for him.

WHAT a douche. i used to be a huge michael cera fan. superbad and arrested are my faves. but juno sucked and nick & norah was even worse. he needs to get his head out of his ass and not ruin this for everyone. he wouldn't even be famous if not for arrested. if he fucks this up, i'll never forgive him.

OMG How could he NOT do this Movie. It would be so incredibly rude. Mitch Hurwitz and Arrested Development gave him his start. ALL his characters since AD have basically BEEN George Michael Bluth, just in different situations. How crappy would it be for him to turn his back on the whole Arrested Development Cast and Crew. I used to LOVE him, but I'm so disappointed. Selfish.
Fuckin' A, Cera! Arrested Development made you find your George Michael–the same character you do in every movie, well I may add, but it's still the same character! Don't do Lucille and the Bluth boys wrong by getting all uppity now! And Maeby….I want you and Maeby to make illegal babies together!

Maybe he's holding out for more money? Kim Cattrall was like that for the SATC movie initially. He would have to do it, though — not nice to bite the hand that feeds! And it just wouldn't be right without him.
It's in HIS interest to be part of this movie. He plays the same character (boring and insipid) in every movie. It's the material that's propelled is career, not his one-note characterizations. The Arrested Development movie is a sure-fire thing and he's an idiot for not recognizing it. He was the least interesting character on the show and it will do just fine without him if need be.
