Zefron's Werwolf Has Not Been Cast in the Twilight Sequel - She Hasn't Even Auditioned!

It's just a rumor! At least that's what the New Moon screenwriter says!
When scribe Melissa Rosenberg was asked if VaneXXXa Hudgens has indeed auditioned for the role of Leah, she answered:
"…if Vanessa is auditioning for the role of Leah, she’s written her own pages to read, ’cause I didn’t write ‘em. "
Yup, Leah is not going to be in the movie version of Twilight!
Furthermore, E.W. reports that studio insiders AND people in Hudgens' camp have debunked the casting buzz.

Hell yes! Honestly I freaked out when I had heard she could possibly play Leah. There are passionate Twilight readers, fans, and followers who have seen the reality of the book by reading it and Venessa would have been horrible. I am excited to see who plays her role and everyone else's' roles.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that news is all about "SAVING FACE" with the entire camp. The studio didn't want to look stupid about considering casting a Disney girl, and Vanessa is probably ready to crawl under a rock at this point because of all of the fans dismay.

This is so good to hear. They are trying to turn Twilight into one big commercial piece of junk!! Just leave it alone & stick with fairly unknown actors!!
Leah plays a miniscule part in New Moon and therefore would be unnecessary in the upcoming movie. However, she is important and very visible in the last two books of the series, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn.
Just because the writer said there would be no Leah in New Moon, doesn't mean that there will no be in the Eclipse or Breaking if they are made.
Of course, I'm glad to hear Vanessa will not being playing Leah. I think she's all wrong for the part.

To all those who didn't read the book, Vanessa is JUST WRONG for the role of Leah.
Leah is not a young girl, she is a woman in her mid-to-late 20s. She was the ex-girlfriend of the leader of the shape-shifters (not werewolves), Sam, until he was "imprinted" with another woman.
Leah can turn into a wolf because of her ancestry. But in NO WAY is Vanessa qualified to be Leah. Oh, man, they are totally screwing up the Twilight saga.

For anyone who has/hasn't read the books…..Leah does not even become a character until Eclipse. In New Moon she doesn't even have a role as a human or werewolf (not shape shifter, this isn't True Blood people). They only speak about her in New Moon when explaining her and Sam and the imprinting thing. Leah doesn't even turn into a werewolf until Eclipse, and you only really learn about her then, when they are preparing to fight the new born vampires and the pack has gotten bigger. So I'm not even sure why this is an issue with Vanessa….she can't play somebody who isn't even in the books yet. Plus she is awful! So when they do cast Leah, I hope it is not her.

The thing i liked about the movie from the start is that they hired new actors who havent had a break or arent already famous….this made the movie fresh and exciting….if they cast her as leah it wouldnt be leah clearwater…it would be vanessa hudgens….and thats just ew and totally disapointing.

Cutting important bits from the book for the first movie was bad enough, but cutting an important character like leah sucks!
