I heard of this movie when it was released in theaters. And the first thing I thought was that the award shows were going to ride this movie because its a foreign film with the little budget. What's sad is that there are millions of movies like this in the U.S. that NEVER get the recognition they deserve. Sad

Re: harrybalsac – Do you just sit on Perez Hilton all day and constantly refresh? Because you always seem to have something crude to say within the first few comments of a story.

  31. 31

This movie was suppose to go straight to dvd. Glad it didn't. This movie is Awesome!!

  32. 32

It Puts Down America. It puts down the Greatest of All White Race and it is little more than a wart on a bullfrogs Azz. So why wouldn't America hating Liberals Love It?

  33. 33

Re: Mentalist – how did it put down America?

  34. 34

CCOBB is just LAME, rock on slumdog!!!!

  35. 35

Slumdog is a great movie, but I really can't understand the fuss about Brad's nomination. His movie is good and interesting in a "make up-computer enhance" way, but certanily not in acting. Thru the whole movie Brad is acting like a zombie, a man without feelings or emotions.-

I love the British but I can't forgive them for not nominated DiCaprio-He will be the real winner at the Oscars.- He has to.

  36. 36

Absolutely loved the movie. It was amazing.

  37. 37

This movie blew me a-way :)

The Indian actour who played the game show host, and the dude who played the more sympathetic police detective (the one who ordered all the beatings to stop) were brilliant!!

This film deserved every accolade that it got.

Even IF Emile Hirsch and "MILK" got overlooked in the process!

Well its about time South Asian talent was recognised! Indian actors and other ethinic minorities are sterotyped in everything and indian singers are never given a chance in mainstream music! This movie was a breathe of fresh air. Well done to everyone involved :-)

  39. 39

Of course it got many BAFTA awards don't you all know us Brits are the most Xenophobic people on earth and it is a British movie.

  40. 40

How the hell did Brad ArmPitt get TWO nominations? What the fuck? I guess the Brits have not caught on to his annoying self-righteousness yet. I'm just happy Queen Kate got 2 nominations -woohoo!!!

  41. 41

Re: COCACOLA – Amen! I am worried the Oscars will ignore Leo - I've heard he gives his best performance yet in "Revolutionary Road." At best I'm hearing mixed reviews of "Benjamin Butthole" LOL - I love saying that and Brad ArmPitt-teehee!!

  42. 42

Delighted for Slumdog and Danny Boyle is a completely unaffected nice guy who really deserves this…Why was Tilda Swinton nominated for a BAFTA for Burn After Reading - Stupefaction - she was completely miscast and terrible in it.. And Perez stop criticising Mickey Rourke - anyone who knows anything about acting recognises his talent - YOU know 'TALENT' that thing you lack…. have you not noticed in all your book promotion sO-called interviews that NOBODY likes you they all looked like they were just tolerating you - esp. the ladies on THE VIEW

  43. 43

AMAZING film! Totally beats out Benjamin Schmutton. 2008 was horrible for good films — egh, make way for 2009!

  44. 44

yaaay! this is hands down the best film of the year, everyone go see it, it's amazing!!

  45. 45

This is an amazing film. What someone stated above, are there more movies in the US that are not about the US? Nobody cares for the selfrightousness and arrogance and narrowminded people of the US anymore. More talent in the other parts of the world. America is NOT the center of the world.

  46. 46

whoa has anyone heard that the dev patel is going out with this girl in london, like seriously true and non of the bigger news know about this at all.
