Peter Pete Doherty is in need of some more crack money!
The "musician" is actually planning to release a solo debut album this year.
The Babyshambles trainwreck will be releasing his album on March 24th in the U.S. And according to his label, the first single is some song called Last of the English Roses.
Can he even come to America????
Surely the U.S. won't let the arrest-prone junkie into the country! Will they???
As for the album, Grace/Wasteland, was recorded last year with producer Stephen Street, who's worked with Blur, Cranberries, and The Smiths. He also worked with Babyshambles back in 2007.

Typical ignorance, Mario. Pete Doherty is an incredible musician and if you had actually listened to any Libertines or Babyshambles, you would know that. Why would his solo album be any different than the 4 great records he's been a part of in the past? I know the new album probably won't come close to matching the musical genius of such cultural touchstones like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga (2 artists who will make us forget about the Beatles and Elvis in 20 years time, I'm sure), but I guarantee that it will be one of the better albums of 2009.

even though he kind of make me sick by the way he looks now a days… he is pretty fucking talented… "The Libetines" were amazing and is a true lost in indie rock.. he and CARL BARAT should get together one more time now that 'Babyshambles' and 'Dirty Pretty Things' are over… its funny that both of them ended their bands to move to solo artists in the same time… this will be a true battle of charts, I hope they will get back for at list one song… I miss them 2gether….they were the paul and john of indie brit rock!!!
k, to clear things out, Pete is an AMAZING musician. No doubt about that. And I bet his solo album will be the best album of 09. Just listen to his music and you'll know what I'm talking about!
