She was the first artist i ever gravitated to and wanted to be like. Everytime i remember it breaks my heart that she's not with us anymore, but of course she's an angel now. I will never forget when she died in august of 01.

I cannot believe Aailyah would have been 30 years old…I was in high school when she passed and to now be a college graduate it is hard for me to realize how time flies. She had so much promise and talent. I never had the opportunity to meet her but I always felt that she had a kind and wonderful spirit. She will always be missed….
