Cindy McCain Says The Media Had An Agenda

Cindy McCain is complaining about the media, claiming that its un-journalistic bias painted her and her husband as villains, costing Johnny the election.
In an interview with her daughter, Cinday says, "Without sounding bitter - and I'm not bitter - I do believe there was a media bias. I do believe that the media had a specific agenda and with that said, the American people cast their vote."
She's particularly miffed about a profile of her that the New York Times published prior to the election, where the reporter gathered information not from Cindy herself, but from kids who attended high school with her youngest daughter…over the internet.
That is a little sketchy!
But Cindy Dear, you did a fair bit of mudslinging yourself!

Re: Vivian25 – It may be separation of church and state, but if someone is religious, do they not have the right to say a prayer? Just like you have the right to NOT pray? Are you saying that because this country is separation of church and state, it's confusing that anybody would actually want to pray? I thought that we all had rights to believe in whatever we wanted, or to not believe, or whatever, and obviously Obama is choosing to believe in something. I don't know if you're Atheist or not, but this is exactly why I can't stand them-trying to take the prayer out of the inauguration? Completely insane. He didn't even HAVE to say it, yet he chose to because he's religious-and Atheists are trying to take away his religious right for WHAT reason? That's almost as stupid as trying to take the Christ out of Christmas.
I rather have cindy mccain as first lady rather than that fat unfashionable loud mouthed bitch michelle obama. barack doesn't bother me but his wife does. also, i think everyone needs to stop celebrating this whole "change" thing. nothing has changed yet! and anything obama does is gonna be praised even if he screws something up there will be some excuse for it! this country is so fucked up
Cindy and Sarah both need good old-fashioned double fistings.
Thats a JOKE…Cindy McCain owns and controls much of the press in the US…Are they really still trying to come up with more excuses?
Thats a joke….Cindy McCain and all her money control much of the press in the US; if anything they were using their power over it.
Perez,
the media obviously had a bias.
It's age old. How can you not know that?
It's so imperative that you know stuff like,
"there is alot of left wing media" otherwise you
sound so un-educated and simple.
love you though.
cindy and sarah delusional biaaatches …..
Bad loser! She IS bitter..
if anyone says there wasnt a bias opinion- obv didnt watch the news, read newspapers or even SEE the oustide world during that past 8 months. the media is way out of control, but what can they do — the mainstream media IS vanishing before our eyes, they have to be a bit crazy…doesnt excuse that people are dumb and dont check out facts and do their OWN research.
Re: jefdo –
"Imagine if McCain was the one that had sketchy associations like Reverend Wright and Bill Ayers, the media would NEVER let go of it. However, since it was Obama they shrugged it off."
*
The reason why it was shrugged off because it was a non-issue. The majority of the American public were intelligent enough to see it for what it really was: a desperate attempt by the Reps to discredit the Democrat nominee. The voters didn't buy it, plus the Reps ran a side-show circus campaign that was easy for the media to make fun of. I guess when your party of choice chooses to stop the putting-the-fear-in-people angle as a voting tactic, perhaps then their right-wing agenda will be accepted by the popular media instead of being relegated to talk radio and FOX news. The fact that you're still bringing up Ayers shows who is the one delusional.
The media covered EVERYTHING even PRESIDENT Obama's associations to Bill Ayers and Acorn, so this sore bitch needs to shut the fuck up. More people saw through it all and voted for the right man which was PRESIDENT OBAMA- All you losers that want to make excuses for your sorry ass McCain Team, GET OVER IT. He was not the best man for the job, that's why he lost. They slaughtered their own campaign by desperately trying to pin everything they could on PRESIDENT Obama instead of focusing on what the people wanted to hear, which was a real solution to the economy crisis. It didn't work and now they can all just bitch and whine about it along with the sorry McCain supporters and PRESIDENT Obama haters on this site. Also anyone who took time to at least watch the debates would have heard when Biden OUTWARDLY said that he did not support gay marriage. Most Homosexuals that voted for Obama in the hopes of opening doors for gay marriage must have known that their odds were simply better on PRESIDENT obama than they were with McCain.
Look, it can't be denied that every media outlet, except Fox News, was pulling for Obama. Cindy is right about that, and there is nothing wrong with her putting it out there. It's the truth, the election coverage was incredibly biased.
Well, Perez you are part of the problem. Seriously, what bad things did you find about Cindy McCain and John McCain? There weren't any bad points about those two! John McCain is a real hero and Obama can't even define "hero". Just get over it and we all will have to deal with the consequences when he fucks this country over…and it won't take long. There weren't any good points to Obama's policies. Also, Perez, no matter how much you supported Obama, he is still opposed to gay marriage. Why exactly did you like this candidate?
Re: fishook – Seriously? Where the hell did you hear that? Actually, the press is owned by CNN, Disney, ABC, and Fox. Cindy McCain doesn't have control over anything. At least she didn't sling blows about our country like Michelle Obama did
OK, I did NOT vote for Obama. I do think it is a great thing for this country to have a 1/2 black president. With that being said, of course the media was biased. They always are. I watched the f*&^ inaugaration today, and do you know there was a woman screaming "Thank you Obama! Thank you!" What the fuck are you thanking him for? He hasn't done anything. Secondly, a statement made in one of ther earlier posts about a "STIMULUS CHECK". Well, I don't know where you got this info from, but Obama's Stimulus PLAN has nothing in it about giving anyone a check. The stimulus plan is mainly for businesses to help them try to boost the economy. READ PEOPLE! Funny how the media never showed Obama claiming there were 58 states in America. LOL It is true… look it up! The media tells you what they want to you to know… Just like everything else. Newspapers tell you what they want you to know. BLOGS just like this one tell you what they want you to know. They do it with every newscast they make!
Re: buck – Duh, everyone has a PR firm. You don't think Mccain and the republicand did, too
Re: holeigh_annie – The media may have been harder on McCain because of the ever so intelligent Bush, dumbasses! Hello, same party tends to have the same adjenda.
Re: devil_dawg_wife – It is going to be interesting. People are expecting some kind of check that is not going to show up. The only thing people here is "obama" and "stimulus". Doesn't mean people are going to "get" anything. If anyone actually reads about his plan it has nothing to do with putting a fat check in your pocket….
"I do believe there was a media bias. I do believe that the media had a specific agenda and with that said, the American people cast their vote."
— Because FOX is NEVER biased right?! And the Right Wing news media were sooo kind and unbiased toward Obama/Biden and Hill before, right??! PLEASE!!!!!!!!! Give me a break! SOUR GRAPES & SORE LOSERS! WAH, WAH, WAH. Cindi, go take a pill, and make all the pain go away.
Re: Vintage7787 – Bush and his croneys put our country in the crapper and we as Americans have the right to compalin, thank you very much! Unless you want to throw us in GITMO, oh never mind that Bush isn't around anymore.
Re: devil_dawg_wife – I love blue Kool-Aid!!! Anything would be an improvement over the last 8years
Re: Hael679 – Hello, William Ayers and Obama served on a commitee together, Obama as a child didn't help him plan a bombing or anything. Mc Cain as well as all political peeps come in contact with some who may be sketchy, that's life, keep your own nose clean.
I know of a self called "queen of all media" guy or gay??? that slashed on S Palin's every single sec… and now is regreting for it cause O is doing nothing for him!
what cindy is saying is so true. Obama isn't effing perfect and hell, joe frickin' biden isn't. Crap, this makes me want to turn black, i'll never have to listen to a bad thing about myself ever again.
Perez, make a note.
THe next time you draw stuff on either of these two ladies, put up some Martian antennae as I think it would be more appropriate. Besides, youre giving the Devil a bad name. I dont think he would want to associate with these two anymore anyway.
I'm sure she wanted to clear the 'agenda' by being on Dancing With the Stars.
What a dumbass
I don't think the media was the problem! She looks like some twisted Stepford wife, and lord knows Palin didn't help matters. Her husband lost because he just didn't exude the same level of confidnece, understanding, and diplomacy.
Re: SWEETPIECE HAS A WARM EMBRACE! – Ditto!
The American people did have an agenda. It was not TO VOTE MCSAME you dumb twit. !! We wanted change and we got it..I swear between this blonde bimbo and the one in Alaska it's scary to think these people were that close the white house.
Re: Quenepa – How does everyone know we have change? HE hasn't done ANYTHING! Just because of his race doesn't mean change. I would really like someone to explain the change that has come…. We are still the same America, with the same shitty economy, with the same shitty job losses…. Where is the change? He has only been president for a few hours, what change has happened in the past few hours? Anyone?
Deny all you want, but the media was VERY bias. It was rediculous! They had an genda, that was for sure. However, now that they got who they wanted into office, it's not going to take long before they start to turn on that family and tear them down.
The media saw pass the bs1 sarah palin didn't help much either!
Re: Chavke –
Did I ever say I felt that Ayers and Wright were big issues? NO. I was making the point that if McCain were the one associated with them it would have gotten far more negative press than Obama received. The media continued to throw fake claims out against the McCain campaign. The NY times accused him of an affair, which was completely false and an obvious smear job. MSNBC was running the story that a "top McCain advisor" said Palin didn't know Africa was a continent, that was also proved false, by the fact that these were not McCain advisors, simply people starting rumors. There was no journalistic integrity in the campaign coverage, the media used every opportunity to smear the McCain campaign. Get over your "putting-the-fear-in-people" nonsense, you liberals have played that ridiculous card over and over again. You can accuss Reps, of making that their "angle" all you want, but we've been safe the past 6+ years. I guess the liberal angle for Obama is making the exact same empty promises Clinton did, or simply saying I'm not the other guy without providing solid goals? Hopefully Obama can actually do something once he finds time in between comparing himself to Lincoln.
Re: sheba08 – XOXO
didn't see that article. raised republican. STILL VOTED FOR OBAMA!
today was super overwhelming.
ps loves the pic perez
Re: LettyB – U know I think that happened to SOME at least I know many that I could guess that's why they voted for Obama
What a hag….and sore loser.
NO, I would have respected McCain had he not chose Palin for vp. She's an idiot you learn in fricken first grade the world is round there for you can't see Russia. She's an idiot.
Re: jefdo –
The difference between the McCain and Obama campaigns was Obama never personally endorsed or acknowledged any of the "lies" or smears that you brought up. If your selective memory isn't kicking in, you'll recall Palin was campaigning across the country bringing up the Ayers connection, and even McCain made jabs at Obama about his never-been-proved terrorist ties. Most of the smears Wright/Ayers smears about Obama came from Rush and the rest of the right-wing pseudo-analysts–you know the ones that their followers think everything they say is the gospel. Do you really think they had more integrity? You can also throw around "had it been" theories all you want, but making hypothetical statements that you're not able to prove at this point and time shows that you're just weak when it comes to making intelligent arguments. If you really think that you can dismiss the Republicans using fear as a tactic angle as nonsense, then my delusional comment about you still stands.
Re: Chavke –
The left bias is far more apparant in the media than the right. Plain and simple, it's always been that way and always will be, this campaign was no different. Bringing up the association isn't a smear job, there was a relationship between the two men, mentioning it isn't a smear. McCain was also the man that defended Obama when hateful things were being said at his rallies. I never said there weren't smears or lies being spread from the right, they came from both sides. However, the rumors, lies, and smears were far greater against the McCain/Palin campaign than Obama. Palin was treated worse than any candidate I've ever seen, and she wasn't even at the top of the ticket. In my initial post I was simply stating that it has been quite obvious there is a strong liberal bias in the media. You can bring up Fox news, but that's ONE network. On the left you have CNN, MSNBC, PBS, etc. The whole fear angle is a common moronic liberal talking point. It's been an excuse for liberals after they lost in '04. Hopefully I'm wrong about Obama, after all, he seems completely in love with a great Republican like Lincoln, to the point where he's trying so hard to be just like him. I wonder if he plans on growing a beard and wearing a stove pipe hat soon.
WE SHOULD START A FUND FOR ALL THIS RACIST WHITE PEOPLE TO LEAVE AMERICA GET OUT.
Ick, make those boring, insipid cows go away.
The MSM is now officially the 4th branch of government. When you have Washington Post reporters applauding Obama then there is a problem; they must need a bail out. I love how the man hasn't done a single thing as President and yet he's being compared to Reagan. Reagan? I mean how the fuck is that even possible?
I didn't vote for McCain either but the GOP picked a wishy washy candidate who ran a horrible campaign. Our elections are now about perception and style and not about substance, courtesy of the media. Know this. Both McCain and Obama are globalists; they are both members of the CFR. I will never again vote for any member of the CFR. Wake up people. These are politicians we are talking about. Their loyalty, ultimately, is to maintaining their power which they get through maintaining the status quo.
UMMM ARE YOU SAYING AMERICANS ARE SO DUMB THAT THAY ONLY VOTED FOR OBAMA BECAUSE THE MEDIA SAID HE'S A NICE GUY! WOW THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP ON THE INTELLIGENCE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE! Re: LettyB –
You are being deliberately obtuse. The Democrats and the media exploited identity politic as usual. The media was used to assassinate Palin(who I would not vote for)while it treated Obama and even McCain with kid gloves.
Well, duh. - The media is still so far up the obama ass it'll take the next 4 years and a shoe horn to get them out.
Oh please. No one made them into villains any more than they made Obama and his wife. Remember how much Michelle Obama hated America? How about William Ayers? And Rev Wright? Did the media have a bias against Al Gore and John Kerry when Dubya won? I never heard them bitch about it. I can't believe how dumb these powerful people can be.
SHE'S ABSOLUTELY RIGHT.
Re: jefdo –
"he whole fear angle is a common moronic liberal talking point. It's been an excuse for liberals after they lost in '04."
Just like you're making excuses right now. Just like I said, dismiss it all you want, it's a common tactic Reps used to get gullible voters in the voting booth. There may have a relationship between Ayers and Obama, but bringing up associations between the two, and saying someone is "palling around with terrorists" is just a cunning way of implying that Obama must be one too–again, the fear tactic. I don't deny Palin was treated more harshly, but she became a puppet for McCain the minute her nod as VP was announced. The only thing I really could say good about Palin was that she was a strong woman–she had balls (not to sound sexist). Unfortunately, McCain didn't have the same. I could have voted for him if I really knew what he stood for. Media bias has always been an accusation by the right, but it has not always helped win an election–look what party has won the majority of the elections in the past 40 years. Instead of playing the media bias card, why can't Cindy McCain and the rest just admit that the McCain/Palin campaign was probably the worst-run campaign in recent history.
anyone that was running on the democratic ticket would have won! Bush ruined it for the republican party because so many people were disgusted with him so guilty by association, McCain lost. So then why is it that the second most important job was given to Hillary? Biden didn't take it because he can't do it, so the most qualified person wih the most expeirnece got it. She should've been president. Obama didn't even salute correctly while at the ball last night, when he finished taking to soem servicepeople in Afghanistan, then again he doesnt have ANY military background! I fell bad for Obama, you've all set him up for failure, your messiah will probabl not accomplish all that he promised and so, the media that glorified him will also crucify him. I wish him lots of luck.
That bitch is an evil devil from hell.
Yeah, I'm sure that McCain's flip-flopping, age, yellow teeth, and disastrous choice of a running mate had nothing to do with his loss. It was all "The Media". And whenever someone says "Without sounding bitter…", you know they're about to do just that.
John McCain didn't have a chance. He was evil, cranky. He suspended his campaign, he kept talking about Joe the Plumber(who wasn't a plummer), and terrorist Obama associated with, even though that wasn't true. The kicker is that, instead of picking one the many intelligent, thoughtful and experienced Republican women he could've chosen, he instead decided to cater to the base. In doing that, he picked a right-wing, firebreathing, dimwit. He beat himself before he had a chance. He picked the same people that'd worked for Bush, who slimed him in the '00 campaign; go figure that.
yeah but the she is a bitter old witch so what do you expect. She probably hasnt been laid in a while either, so she would be uptight.
Re: Chavke –
The tactic by the left to make gullible voters turnout is to make empty promises that often contradict one another. Obama fed voters many of the same lines as Clinton. The amount of Obama voters I came across that knew nothing of his policies was completely frightening. He's a good speaker and that was enough to lure in many of the more impressionable voters. I'm not saying there was a big media conspiracy against McCain. However, it was quite obvious who many of the media giants supported and they made no effort to hide it. I wouldn't say Cindy's playing a card, I think her argument is a very legitimate one. The left lean in the media is very apparent. The vicious rumors and treatment of Palin is more than enough to solidify that belief. Obama's tactic was mainly, "I'm not the other guy." Throughout the campaign he remained very vague on his beliefs, and the media certaintly didn't hurt him a bit.
She's not complaining perez, she's stating a fact. If the media had just done its job and portray facts rather than EXTREME liberal bias, then the race would have been A LOT closer. I'm not saying McCain would have won, but it would have definitely been a fair race.
