Senators Edward Kennedy and Robert Byrd got sick during today's luncheon at the Capitol's Statuary Hall and were taken away by medical staff for treatment.

Update: Senator Kennedy suffered a seizure.
"Senator Kennedy had a seizure" which "lasted a while," a Republican House member told CNN. The member said Kennedy was still experiencing seizures when he was put in a wheelchair and taken out through the Rayburn room, located to the side of Statuary Hall.

Senators Kennedy & Byrd are very close friends. Senator Byrd was taken out of the room for a little while because he was so distraught over what had happened with Senator Kennedy. Senator Byrd DID NOT fall ill. He was just very upset over watching his close friend have a seizure. Senator Byrd returned to the luncheon.
