Bush Already Forgotten
Guess only Fox News really cares about George Bush any longer.
Tuesday, when it seemed like the entire world was watching Barack Obama's inauguration, Fox News was the only major television network that showed a live telecast of Bush's homecoming speech in Midland, Texas.
So, what'd ya miss?????
Bush said during his speech that "Sometimes what I did wasn't popular. But that's OK. I always did what I thought was right. It is a great day because we got to come home once and for all. I come home with my head held high. The presidency was a joyous experience, but as great as it was, nothing compares with Texas at sunset. Tonight I have the privilege of saying six words that I have been waiting to say for a while: It iis good to be home."
As for Bush and the former First Lady, the spent their first night out of office at his Crawford ranch after the speech.

I've been paying more attention to Fox News lately. I notice little things that show their bias. For example: Prior for Obama's inauguration, Isreali troops announced that they would withdraw from Gaza once Obama becomes president. They did. Fox News chose never to share the information beforehand. They chose instead to make first mention of it today and try to write it off as a Bush accomplishment. Funny.
The only president with great morals and who stuck to his guns. He followed through with his ideas and beliefs and has been criticized by people who know NOTHING about politics(i.e. all you Obama worshipers). Mr. Bush was shown the worst respect by my fellow Americans and I am ashamed of that. The man cannot be blamed for the economy. Do you people forget that congress is now run by the democrats? Do you people know who Barney Frank is? You probably do not, so maybe you should do your research and teach yourself some interesting things about the Democratic party, or should I say the "far left." I refuse to be a follower and jump on the Obama train as everyone else has because I stick to my beliefs. A lot of you people are uneducated in politics, therefore you really should hold opinions to yourself. Maybe you should go google Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi and see what your liberal party represents and what THEY not just the republicans have gotten us into. Good luck Mr. George W. Bush. Louisiana and your fellow conservatives have respect for you unlike many of our fellow Americans.

Re: E59th – Actually, I did not watch it. I am a full time student who works two jobs so I don't have a lot of spare time to watch fox news all day like you may think. I get my information from different sources, not just fox. I am not a "political pundit," I just do my research. I also have a dad who is in Iraq right now fighting for our country and he could not be prouder to have served under his former commander in chief and I am proud of him. When people come on here bashing what and who my dad has been fighting for in Iraq for the past year, VOLUNTARILY, then I must speak up.

I was there in the audience yesterday in Midland, Texas. I also grew up with George and his lovely wife Laura. Lest you forget the pride you had when we invaded Iraq after 9-11. I started coming on this website when I had evacuated for Hurricane Gustav in September. Obviously, I live in New Orleans and I came on here because people were bashing my city so terribly. After what we went through with hurricane Katrina and what we were going through with the approach of Gustav I couldn't believe people were saying such terrible things about New Orleans. I am not on here trying to preach, I am only on here stating my opinion just like everyone else is.
It's not a job where you do the "popular" thing. It's a job where you do what you believe is the right thing. He was out to protect Americans, not cater to their whim. I believe that history will look back at Bush fondly, not in the way half the country is now.

The media and general public started to craftly pin a lot of crap on Bush that was not his doing at all.
