    You guys all want separation of church and state, well you've got it. Marriage is a religious term that was brought up IN CHURCHES so for goodness sake, let the churches keep it that way! Have civil unions or whatever, you still have the exact same rights as people who are married, it's just called something different! We respect you and try to let the church stay out of it. Civil unions are a government thing and that's exactly what a marriage is, only the WORD marriage is a religious thing. If you don't want to be religious, then don't get married-have a civil union. It's as simple as that. Don't take away from Christians or churches or anything, because once again, it's a word that was made in church. I seriously don't know what arguments gays can make or why they are still fighting this-civil unions are the EXACT SAME THING.
