How horrible!
Apparently the Travolta extortion scheme revolves around a cell phone picture taken of son Jett as he lay dying in the ambulance.
It is believed that the photo was taken by one of the paramedics entrusted to help save Jett's life. The other person involved in the scheme is a local politician in the Bahamas, where the teen passed away.
How sleazy!
The men are threatening to sell the photo to the highest bidder if Travolta doesn't pay their million dollar ransom.
Investigations and negotiations are underway.
What an awful thing to have to deal with!

If this story is true my last bit of hope for humanity has been shot to hell. If this guy's children were starving of hunger I could remotely understand his atrocious action. As a paramedic however, he should have a half-decent income.

the pictures won't be released. This is similar to what happened with the Princess Diana photos of her still in the wreckage of the car. (Hopefully) no one would buy them, not only that they risk exposure once they sell them and once the district attorney is involved they are looking not only at extortion charges but federal wire fraud charges plus a whole slew of others. Any publication that purchases those picture or even broadcasts them should be shut down. How can someone see another persons dead child and see dollar signs. There is a special place in hell for people like them.
It's awful that someone would have the gall to take that photo. It's even more awful that the sleazeballs would try to sell it.
