CSI's Ratings Drop Without Grissom

Are things just not the same without Grissom, CSI fans?
On Thursday, the first Grissom-less CSI was down 11% from the show's season average.
Ratings dropped 26% in its key adult demo from last week’s big farewell Grissom episode.
However, a drop like this is sort of expected just after a main character departs, say experts.
But if the ratings continue to steadily decline in the coming weeks, the suits will start their freak out!

I actually enjoyed last week's episode. Obviously it will never be the same without grissom, but it's still a really good show.
well he's not just "a" main character but "THE" main character. I mean, the cast is really awesome. But watching CSI for 9 seasons without Grissom just doesn't feel right. Las Vegas is actually the best among the CSI series… and Grissom was definitely the huge factor of it.

Bones was moved over that night to the 8 & 9 pm slot, so 3 cop shows were on. Does Tivo get counted in? and is 11% really matter much for one week?

I love Larry Fishburne. Long live the King! If the show loses viewership, it will be due to Catherine's character. Marg Helgenberger is a good actor, but not really charismatic enough to carry the show. Larry should have come in as the new department head.

Unfortunately, they seem to be trying to make Katherine the lead for the team and that's not going happen in my eyes. Her character has gotten more irritating over the years and her writers are making her more-so. I was hoping they would bring Laurence Fishburne in as a lead and they would have to warm up to his way, but maybe that will come later. All the other teammates are fine for now. Another big ouch for their time-slot is "Bones" is on at the same time here. I like both shows but Bones will beat out every time for me. ♥
I enjoyed it. Actually, I enjoyed it a lot more than the last 20 or so episodes. It brought some fresh air to a show that has become way too serious and arrogant. CSI used to be a fun, quirky show mixed with seriousness, forensics, and mysteries. Now it's just all seriousness, overblown forensics, and douchebag characters that think they're God's gift to man.
Also, katherine will never work as the lead. She was tolerable when she had minimal screen time, but if I have to look at her fucked up lips for more than 5-10 minutes total, then I am going to stop watching.
NO! It's not! I stopped watching.. Grissom WAS CSI! Why do shows keep it chugging AFTER their best/main characters leave. So sad… ALSO..why can't actors finish out the last fucking season? Zach Braff…Thopher Grace…Ashton Kutcher…. DUMB!
i will miss grissom but i really hope that lawrence fishborne (think thats how u spell it lol) joins the cast
Well in the UK the thir episode will be on Tuesday but when we get to episodes without Grissom it will not be the same!

I won't watch it anymore. I only watched it for him and Warrick anyway. Plus, as much as I love the show, it's been on for 9 years now, it's time to say goodbye. I think they need to kill off everyone so there's no hope for a comeback or a spinoff. Have someone blow up the lab!
