Jesus, STOP BUILDING THEM, THEN!! I have a Starbucks Coffee at every intersection around my house, about a 10 mile radius, going ANY direction!!! NOT KIDDING EITHER!!! I have to drive farther to get to 7-11 than Starbucks!! I love coffee from there, but hell, ITS ENOUGH ALREADY!! FUCKIN RETARDS!

I hate to say this but I love Starbucks although I only drink it like once every two weeks. I'm not that big of a fan of coffee anyway but I couldn't believe it when people were drinking this every day at work…that's just plain stupid to me. I think their prices are a little high for these times and people are of course as many know are cutting back. You would think Starbucks would have sales on coffee every week for different kinds of course to lure people back, or at least cut a couple cents off. What I mean about sales is like the coffee of the week and have that on sale but yet they want to sale you the same expensive coffee so therefore people are not attracted to that. Speaking about Starbucks I think I'm going to get my once every two week coffee today…lol! This coffee is more of a dessert than addiction to me.
That's because Starbucks would rather give massive amounts of money to Israel and fire employees when the cards are down. Idiots.

Most of the ones I've been in are overstaffed. The profit margin on their coffees are astronomical, do you ever think that there might be MISMANAGEMENT on the company's part??

I don't have much to say on the subject, except that I buy 2 cups of coffee a day, one at full price, and a refill for 50 cents. In all I spend about 2.35 a day, every day of the week. I also know that I am one of 1,000,000,000 people that do the same thing I do day in and day out. Starbucks is a daily part of my life, and my two dollar habit is not breaking my bank account. But I know that they are earning 2 dollars from just me, times 1,000,000,000 on the marked up price of coffee. They can make 50 cups of coffee at 1.85 each (or 50 cents for refills), but it only cost them about 25 cents to make the entire batch. That doesn't even account for all the dunderheads that buy $5.00 per drink times 1,000,000,000, when it cost them about 45 cents to make that drink.
HOW IS STARBUCKS NOT MAKING MONEY HAND OVER FIST???!!!??? They are screwing the consumers (but I'm willing to pay because I like their product) by overcharging for their product, and now the executives have decided that their profits are down, so they are going to lay off the $10 an hour employees, because then they don't have to pay med benefits and crap wages that wouldn't support a homeless person in California.
This was completely non-sequitous, I know, but it felt good to type it.
There I'm done.
Just like all trends…they fade. People only drink starbucks b/c they want to seem "elite" because its trendy. So overrated.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but it almost seems that you can barely stifle your glee at others losing their jobs, their livelihoods. You run an entertainment blog! Most people that visit your site do so as a diversion from "real" news, which given the current economy is usually bad news. You are no authority on business and most of the layoffs you report are not connected to the entertainment industry. Please stick to what you know. If we want to get the latest on the economic climate in America, we'll look to a more credible, more academic source.
