In a new interview with Spain's El Pais, Penelope Cruz revealed she's trading in life in Los Angeles for bi-continental living.
She's set to split her time between New York and her native Spain.
Pene apparently hates the fakeness of LaLaLand.
She's felt "very alone" in movie "obsessed" LA, but admired NY 'frank' talkers like Woody Allen.
"He says what he thinks, unlike many people that I have met in Los Angeles," said the Oscar nominated thesp.
Good riddance!

True, LA never fails to put me in a shit mood. People in Southern California in general are FAKE, for the most part, and if they aren't they know that they are surrounded by them. New York and Europe (Spain, in her case) are SO much better. People just don't beat around the bush…
I was in LA last January and it was hideous. I went to the faultline and felt like I had to take a shower after, and not in the good way. I used the word "decorum" and the bartender started talking to me like I had a PhD in astrophysics.
The whole town is ugly. Cruz is leaving because she gets more noticed for her Spanish films than she does for Vanilla freakin' sky or Captain Corelli's Mandolin or whatever.

FUCK THAT, the REAL people that are born and raised here in LA are not fake. My city is saturated with FAKE fucks that come from back east or other US states trying to "make it" out here. From being complete nobodys and not being exposed to our LA lifestyle, Ive noticed that tons of outta towners try to "front" and pretend they are rich or from LA. Ive seen those same people who were new to LA once give attitude to other new people etc. When they dont "make it" thats when the backlash of everybodys soo "fake" in "La La Land" starts! LA isnt fake, its alot of fake/wannabe "industry" snobs. Get out of WestHollywood/Beverly Hills and head out to less desirable neighborhoods like Pomona, East LA, Pasadena LongBITCH and I can assure you all (most) of the people are just as real as they come!

sadly, this is true.
The first time I visited "LA" I was shocked. Its dirty and gross. The only decent parts were at the shoreline, mostly. Inner LA is dangerous and filled with trash all over the streets. Hollywood is so disgusting. Everything you see on TV for award shows is so FAKE. I live in a Conservative state, so I was not use to seeing a city like that. Even slums where I live where a zillion times cleaner!

My friend lived out there for a while and said it was a shit hole. She said it was run down and that the people were unattractive. She liked Orange County though. A guy friend of mine went out there on vacation and was expecting to see a lot of hot women. But he said the same thing, the women were fake looking blondes. It was embarrassing. We had our small daughter with us. We had to ask him to please not use foul language. I'll stay in Los Angeles and enjoy my big house, my wonderful neighbors and beautiful weather. Penelope Cruz can suck eggs.

I live in San Diego and I feel the SAME way about asshole posers who move out here from the Midwest and try to act like a surfer dude poser/and end up looking like tool of the year.
