Ironic how everyone says "I love thus-and-such Store" but aren't patronizing the establishment, so employees and management are laid off and then it closes. People either don't have the money to spend or are hesitant fork over their meager earnings, which leads to more businesses folding. Double whammy!

I live in Minneapolis and know some executive-manager level people being let go. Suck to be them. They were totally counting on their careers. Thank GOD Bush and his Doctrine are out so our great country and recover from this financial mess that has hurt so many people. Thanks W. For nothing.

It's really sad, considering the bulk of the layoffs were at the Downtown Minneapolis corporate office. I work downtown too, and a lot of Target employees would ride my bus. The bus was a bit emptier today. Very sad.

Oh, and it was 600 employees. They eliminated 400 open positions, so that's an additional 400 people who won't be hired. Still, very dismal, and the biggest layoff in Target History. Best Buy, which is based just a city over in Richfield, MN is also about to do some hefty layoffs, since not enough people were willing to have their employ be bought out.

Re: MaggieMay – No shit on the Bush Doctrine… My gf works for one of their card issuance depts and THANKFULLY her dept hasn't been cut. From what I've heard all the layoffs are corporate level. I don't think they will be building new Target stores until things setlle down.

Typical uneducated liberal morons blaming Bush. Don't you know ANYTHING? What started this mess? The housing crisis and people unable to pay their mortgages. People spending WAY more than they earn. People who feel entitled to things for free (liberals). Who caused the housing crisis? Clinton and his "everyone deserves a house even if they can't afford it". It's finally catching up to them. DIdn't you go to college to know that it takes 8 years for a presidents actions to finally be felt? We are feeling Clinton's actions! This is not Bush's fault, it's CLinton's fault. Us going to war has NOTHING to do with people spending more than they earn and feeling entitled to a house that is beyond their means. It has to do with people feeling unrightfully entitled.

Criss Angel Is Recorded Threatening To Knock Out His Producer!

Whoa! Criss Angel is NOT messing around here!

The Luxor headlining illusionist was recorded having quite the verbal altercation with Joe Monti, one of his magic producers on Wednesday, during which Angel is heard threatening to knock him out - and now he's had a police report filed against him!

Furthermore, Monti later said to authorities that he recorded the meeting because Angel has a history of bullying employees!

He explains:

“I wanted him to know how demeaning he was. I created 50-60 percent of the magic for ‘Mindfreak.' I have no reason to do anything vindictively but I draw the line on violence.”

Scary!
