Colombia Believes in Equality

This is great news!!!!
Colombia is now treating everyone equally.
On Wednesday, Colombia's Constitutional Court ruled that same-sex couples will now receive the same rights as straight couples in common-law marriages.
According to the decision, gay couples in Colombia will now be entitled to a dozen of the rights that straight, unmarried couples have been receiving for years.
Gay couples will now be entitled to inheritance, health, pension, and social security rights.
The decision came after several of Colombia's prominent LGBT and Gay Public Interest groups filed a suit last April.
Only one other Latin American country recognizes same-sex unions and that's Uruguay.
Hopefully other countries will follow suit!

And Spain is not in Latin America.
And if people from the US and Europe didnt consume as much coke as they do, then probably drug cartels and related issues wouldnt be as huge in latin america.

Ok…so some of you guys need to learn how to spell COLOMBIA! There is no U!!! read a fucking map or an atlas….
What rights do common law couples have in the U.S.? What IS common law marriage in the states? By all accounts it's not just a matter of living together. This could get even more murky than it already is if what you want is what Columbia did. Columbia obviously have more expressed rights for those in a common law marriages, although the requirement to be consider in a common law marriage is not stated. Be careful what you wish for.

Eleven states and the District of Columbia currently recognize common-law marriages. Each of these jurisdictions has unique requirements for common-law marriage. In the U.S., every state is Constitutionally required to recognize as valid a common-law marriage that was recognized in another state.

This is an amazing new..this are the kind of things wich my country should be recognize!. Not all colombian are drug dealers or addicted or something like that. In fact, I've not seen a drug until I went on a vacation to USA last year!
