Prosecutors Respond to Alleged Child Raper Polanski

Two weeks ago, lawyers working for 'exiled' fugitive director/child predator suspect Roman Polanski were able to get California's high courts to consider a motion that asked for all LA County judges to be disqualified from hearing the 31-year old rape because all 600+ judges that LA county employs could not be unbiased.
On Friday, a prosecutor finally responded on behalf of the county and urged an appellate court to reject the latest Polanski move.
In a 24-page brief submitted to the tribunal, the county says the allegation of bias is "patently frivolous" and based on "mere conclusions with no factual basis."
It was also argued that no one who knew all the facts would doubt the impartiality of "the entire bench of the Los Angeles Superior Court".
The Polanski move does sound a lot desperado to us!

Apparently even the girl (now a woman) at the center of this case agrees that Polanski should be able to return to the US and get the suit dropped. So, WTF? It happened 30 years ago, already.

Kind of agree with Emmacs with perhaps a drop less sympathy. How many years should someone have to wait for re-entry into the USA? Real, legitimate, rapists and molesters walk the streets here after not-lengthy prison sentence. Others, we punish and make an example of. So okay, Polanski has certainly be punished. Let him back in now…if only to stifle Perez and his slanted reporting.

Read the article about the girl Polanski raped that is now a women. The reason she wants the case to be dropped is because she DOESN'T WANT HER LIFE TO BE DESTROYED ALL OVER AGAIN. She still wants Polanski to pay for the crime, but she doesn't want to be victomized again with a new trial. People will always think of Roman Polanski as someone who raped a child.
