It's a Slumdog Millionaire year!

Director Danny Boyle was given the top award at the Director's Guild Award ceremony on Saturday for bringing the Indian rags to riches tale to life.

The flick's won every big award to date.

It looks like it's on its way to the biggest prize of them all - Oscar!

      I saw the movie.. yeah it was nice and touching .. but that is worthy of so many awards or even an oscar.. nope don't think so…
      ohh and by the way .. do u know that they little boys from the movie are still iving in the slums poor and helpless back in india .. you would have thought htey would have paid them an nice chunk of change for their role in the movie.
      or even put a trust fun for them and move them out of the slum and put them into private schooling …
      in my opinion the directors took advantage of those kids

      I just saw that movie today- it was fantastic! I loved it.

      This is one of the best movies I've seen in years! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. This movie made Benjamin Button look rudimentary.

      Good for them! The movie is really interesting and shocking, If this movie will put people's eyes in India and everything around the situation there then that's much better than any Oscar or other award they will ever win!

      Re: AtomicKitty – That's a stupid rumor that has been circulating for a couple of weeks, this is part of the black side of being an Oscar favorite, other studios spread rumors about the movie or how it was made just to diminish it… that happens when your movie is not pushed by big studios.
      This ridicolous rumors where addressed by the director and producer of the movie and solved in time.
