It Hurts to See a Grown Man Cry

Spanish tennis whiz Rafael Nadal handed Roger Federer ANOTHER loss on Sunday.
Rafa beat Roger in 5 sets to win the Australian Open men's single title.
The Swiss tennis great has been trying to equal Pete Sampras' 14 major titles, but Rafa keeps getting in his way!
Federer has lost the last three times they've met in Grand Slam finals.
The Anna Wintour fave couldn't hold back the tears at the awards presentation.
He said, sobbing, "Maybe I'll try later. God, it's killing me… (to Rafa) You deserved it. You played a fantastic final."
A sportsmanly Rafa turned to Rog and said, "Roger, sorry for today. I really know how you feel right now. Remember, you're a great champion, you're one of the best in history."
Better luck next time, Roger!

First Bitches!!
Awwww, so sweet! Congratulations to Nadal.
I cried while I was watching this. I was rooting for Rafa but damn… when Federer started crying I felt sooo bad for him.
He'll get his 14th win someday!
It doesn't hurt me to see a grown man cry, it kind of makes me laugh a little. heehee
LETS GO STEELERS!!! THEY ARE GONNA FUCK UP ARIZONA!!! THEY ARE GOING TO WALK AWAY WITH THEIR TAILS BETWEEN THEIR LEGS…..HA HA HA HA……
OH YA, HE'S A CRYIN LIL' BITCH!!
as much as i enjoy watching roger federer lose, yeah, it was hard seeing him cry. he really wants to be the greatest player out there and you can tell how passionate he is when he does stuff like that. he needs to get a freaking coach if he's going to figure out how to beat Nadal.
Tennis is a gay mans game.
I was a upset for Rafa that Federer interrupted his celebration and made the moment about himself. Rafa was so gracious and classy, comforting Roger the way he did instead of celebrating his hard earned victory! This is what I love and respect about him so much as a tennis player….gracious in victory and defeat. Well done, Rafa, congrats!
I am so HAPPY Rafa won, even though the odds were against him. Go Rafa!
That said, for the first time I feel bad for Roger. I never felt bad for him when he lost Wimbledon to Rafa, but now I do feel bad. He's terrible under pressure. The expectations of him are so high that he can't help but crack. And then there's the fact that he's intimidated by Rafa.
* I hope he does win his 14 or 15 slams so he doesn't have to feel so bad and he can finally overcome the expectations on him. Good luck Roger. You'll get there.
But, I love Rafa. Rafa you are a great champ. They said you couldn't play on hard court and grass and you've now won grandslams on both, over the best there is in the game. You deservse to celebrate and you should. Take a vacation.
Poor Roger I feel for him. But professional tennis like every other sport is a young persons domain. There's only 5 years difference between them but sometimes that makes all the difference, especially when their skills are equal. Cheer up Roger you'll probably get your # 14.
I hate seeing grown men cry, too. But I felt bad for him.
awww, maybe next time
i love you roger!!!
Re: beetle – me?
This was such a good match !! It always is when they play. Nadal has such a big heart and is always sooo nice to the people he beats. Federer was sooo sad I almost cried for him too and would have if I wasnt sooo damn happy for Nadal!
I have thought this was just about sport: he played, he lost and that’s it. It is not shame to lose to #1, no?
How would he feel if he and Rafa had to play in the afternoon on 110F and he could not finish the match? For how long we would have to watch a professional crying?
He is disgusting
Go Rafa, go Nole, go Andy
Re: .perezhilton.com – Tennis requires more brain cells and physical fitness than football, hockey and basketball combined. Unlike those sports where it takes teams to win championships, in Tennis a player is alone and has to work alone to win. He's a lone cowboy, which requires more guts than athletes who rely on their teammates to win. You're an idiot.
re=3384540]Re: beetle[/re] I agree with you some. At first I was really annoyed that Federer was interrupting Nadal's celebration by crying and taking the spotlight from Nadal and he cried for so long it was awkward to watch, but even I couldn't help but feel bad for him.
At least he recognized what he was doing and got out of the way before Nadal took to the microphone. Nadal should not have had to feel bad for beating him and for saying what he said. But that's Nadal, ever gracious and humble.
Re: baba booey – ta ta toothy!
I TOLD YOU ONCE, I WON'T TELL YOU AGAIN. STOP FUCKING PRINTING PICTURES OF RAFAEL NADAL!
Re: .perezhilton.com – mama monkey
OMG! I almost cried too! Roger is my fav tennis playes ever, but Nadal deserves it, he is incredible. Congrats to him!
I think Roger is gay and Rafa is on steroids.
I absolutely love Federer and it was hard to watch that. I cried a little, too. That fourth set was one of the best sets of tennis I have ever seen, and the fifth set just made me cry. I could tell Roger was done, but they both fought so hard for it. Very emotional morning for me.
I FUCKING LOVE NADAL!!! YEAH BITCHES THERES A NEW CHAMPION IN TOWN! but i love freddy too :3
IM SO FUCKING HAPPY! i honestly dont even eel sorry for Roger. His reign is OVER! VAMOS RAFA!!!
Re: Wino21 – I agree, tennis is such a demanding sport, and all the pressure lies solely on the player since there is no team to back them up. By far the best sport out there and it takes real talent to be a tennis player.
Why are people saying there's a "new champion" and the odds were against Nadal? Nadal was #1 before the Open and Federer hasn't beat him in over a year.
Awww, I feel so bad for him!
Awwwww! That is SO sweet. Can you say, "Bromance!"
I like Roger, but my heart is with Nadal. Mmmmm.
Oh man such a great match…I love Rafa, but I wanted to see Feder win his 14th…specially after you see the tears you know it means a lot to him, and having Rafa stop it twice…must hurt a lot…next time
Geez, just reading that exchange made me want to cry. AND THEY'RE HOT TOO!!!
must have been a great match to watch. sorry I missed it.
the lesson is this, as great as you are and can be, there is always someone who has more skills.
all you can do is play your very best.
i wanted fed to win sooo soo soo badly!
but he can do it!
he can get #14 and then more! woohooo
and for everyone who thinks fed is a wimp. you dont understand so shut up.
So sad they put so much into their sport. I was hoping he'd win too. It shows just how much it means to them to win which is nice.

QUIT SHOWING THE RESULTS WITHOUT A SPOILER ALERT, DAMNED YOU!!!
.
LG IS DEVASTATED THE SIMIAN ON STEROIDS WON AGAIN!!!
.
TEAM ROGER!
.
I cried hard with Federer, the best player ever. Sampras got his 14th Grand Slam thanks to André Agassi who lost ON PURPOSE to give him his record 14 great wins. That's called cheating. Who misses Sampras the Republican, he was soooooo boring, I fell asleep when he played. Go Federer, but I admit that Rafael Nadal will be hard to beat from now on.
Federer is showing how much he loves Tennis, his heart completely belongs to the sport and he is trying so hard to be the best of all the time. And i'm sure he will, Nadal is a very good player, but Federer is more complete, and although he is not at his best moment, he is not dead as a player. I'm sure he will improve and will beat Nadal, will get his 14th grand slam and will be the number 1!!!!
I'm a huge fan of Federer, but I really couldn't care less about him crying. Now he knows how Andy Roddick must feel.
Go Rafa you sext beast!
This was the best Australian Open ever. Nadal is a freak. I don't know how he backed up after a five hour match less than 48 hours before. He is so gracious and sportsmanlike and not to mention GORGEOUS.
I have never liked Federer, but I felt sorry for him. Actually more sorry for Rafa because Roger was stealing his thunder. He just can't beat him and I hope it stays that way.
I'm thrilled to bits he won the AO! Rafa was holding back the tears at 2007 Wimbledon when he lost to Roger in the final and Roger couldn't have cared less. Rafa saved his break down for the locker room. VAMOS RAFA!
Is Roger Federer gay?
unbelievable tennis played this weekend….love federer, but nadal earned that one
Re: Billvie Bicks – no…his girlfriend isn't a supermodel…so his lovelife is too boring to report
i wanted him to win
it made me sad when he started crying…..:(
I like Federer a lot, but he missed too many easy points. He was too stiff and seemed kind of lazy for some reason. Though I'm not a big fan of Rafa, he did deserve that one.
its just sports. its not like you lost a leg or something in Iraq! what's there to lose mr federer? you're made.
You can't win them all. Tennis is a very unique sport in a way that when you go into a tournament everything can either go your way or go wrong despite being the best or better than your opponent. I know because this has happened to me before in a tournament. Then again Roger even mentioned in an interview that when he first began playing tennis losing was difficult for him that he would cry. I think he was more disappointed at himself for losing again. I doubt he was trying to take the spotlight away from Nadal. They both love the sport that only one can be the winner. Either way Nadal deserved the win because that guy has come a long way to be where he is at today. I love them both thought!
Both can cry on my shoulders and day.l I love watching them play. Nadal i love you..
i will never understand why men cry over SPORTS. BIG DEAL!! IT'S JUST A GAME. omg
my mums a tennis franactic she was waching it all yesterday and litterally cryed when roger lost , oh well
Congratulations, RAFA!!!! I think Roger Federer is a champion and has such class, so I felt really sorry for him! It was really sad!!! However, I think that Rafa deserved it. Of course Rafa must've been happy, but it looked to me like he held back and was very respectful of Roger at that moment. He didn't do much celebrating cuz everyone could see what Roger was going through. Rafa seems to be such an outstanding person, on and off court. CONGRATS RAFA!!!!
Woot woot, Rafa Nadal! Now if only Djokovic would step his game up a little bit more..
You are so sweet,Roger!!Don't give up,you will beat Nadal next time! You'll see!!
I stayed up all night watching and was so sad when Roger lost. I never really liked Rafa, the guy needs a HAIRCUT, but he sure earned my respect last night and deserved that trophy. I wish I had a fraction of his mental power. But Roger is still WAY, WAY hotter, LOL.
Then there's yummy Verdasco who REALLY stepped it up. Will be fun to watch the slams this year!
Aww! That's so cute. Rafa should take him home for some coco and cuddles!
Re: iKatie –
Its at game, its also what he's dedicated his life too. I'm not a big into sports, but surely you can understand having something that is so important to you. If you don't, I kind of feel sorry for you.
Federer's behaviour was disgusting, not only last night with the unsportsmanlike, uncontrollable and unacceptable sobbing, but also today when he was quoted as saying "I could have won, I should have won" - but you lost bitch, eat shit!
the fucknut tried to take Nadal's glory, he waited until Rafa has his trophy and then he took the microphone, but he failed, he lost and nothing is going to change that…Rafa has had to deal with questions about Federer all day today rather than accepting the adulation for a hard fought and well deserved match
Roger will be nothing but a loser to me, there is no coming back from this - disgusting!
god i hate tht nadaaaaaaaaaal!could kill him!! why cant he just break a leg or sumthn?i hate seeing poor Feddy like this.its not fair!
(dont mind me,im running a 102 fever here)
Re: n7of9 –
Maybe if you got off your fat ass and were some kind of competitor you'd know the pressures they were both under. Each of them are gracious in victory and defeat, but you have to wade in with your cankles and big sausage fingers and try to take such modesty and respect away from them. Wasn't the cake enough for you?
Eat some salad and see if you can find out someway of putting yourself in their state of mind. How does that sound, fatty?
Re: .perezhilton.com – says the gay who can't tell a tennis racket from his a**.
Re: SheHasBigBoobs – and your big boobs has atrophied your brain
great that Rafa won
Both are true sportsmen.
People who don't follow tennis should not comment on this. Roger Federer is one of the nicest and most respectable people on the planet. I know how much it hurts to lose a big match, and he wanted to win bad. It breaks my heart to see him like that. Rafa is a good guy too- they are good friends and he really showed the goodness inside himself for comforting Roger. Roger is very passionate about tennis, and I hope things shape up for him soon. I know they will, he deserves all the success he's worked for, and the success he still tries to achieve. Roger Rules!
Re: n7of9 – Have you ever played a sport? Especially one as hard as tennis? You shouldn't judge someone who you have no idea what their life is like. Your ignorance is disgusting.
Re: Billvie Bicks – You're an idiot.
