In a Britney Spears move, Amy Winehouse has put her parents in charge of her $21 million fortune . The money is still ultimately hers, but she cannot spend it without the consent of either dad Mitch or mom Janis.

Sources say the move is a sign that Amy is finally turning her life around, after a major descent into drugs and more drugs. Though her drunken antics have annoyed guests at the St Lucian resort she's been holed up in since the holidays, the singer claims to be drug-free.
With bad influence Blaaaaake filing for divorce, new material in the works, and a headliner spot on the Coachella lineup, 2009 might be the Year of Amy's Comeback!

We'll see. I'm not impressed. Is it just as easy for her to take back control over her $$ if she…cough…changes her mind? It's supremely difficult to turn your life around after being one of the undead for so long. Do YOU know anyone who was as bad off as Amy? Did THEY turn their lives around? No crackhead heroin junkie I know was ever able to do it, so I have no expectations that she will either. She's done…stick a fork in her (mouth to feed her). and to Highboo-yes, I know more than 1 person who turned their life around and have kept it that way for quite a few years so far(like over 20 years for one friend)and became normal members of society, have families, jobs and brains that work. You can't do it alone, but you can do it.
If true, such a prudent move could only mean that she is regaining her mental equilibrium as the drugs leave her system. How to avoid recontamination by drugs in the dens of London? Better extend that vacation even more.
