CBS Arranges Marriage

CBS has a new reality TV show in the making which documents the outcomes of marriages arranged for singles unlucky in love by their friends and family members.

Arranged Marriage is ready for the controversy it might encounter, and it won't be the first time CBS has aired a program that's raised eyebrows.

2007's social experiment, Kid Nation, drew some notoriety.

Unlike Fox's sleazier version of a similar premise, Married by America, the show presents itself as more of a documentary and an extension of "the Eastern tradition of an arranged marriage," but in the west.

Will U watch?

    7. 7

      maybe, it sounds intersting

    8. 8

Why not - with divorce rates up over 60% maybe people would stand a better chance with someone selected by people who really care for them.

    9. 9

      First?!

I think they did this show first in the UK [shock horror another USA rip-off] anyway it was shit & hardly anyone watched… but um, yeah… not so WOW as ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

    10. 10

Nope, not gonna watch a bunch of idiots marry on tv. Marriage isn't a joke, and they deserve what they get.

Re: SWEETPIECE LOVES THE OBAMAS!Re: SheriMoonFireFly – Hello ladies - how are we recovering after the Superbowl. Sounds like everyone was pretty happy with the outcome.
Well except all the Cardinals fans of course. LOL

    15. 15

The only reason that reality television persists is the human fascination with voyeurism. Plus it's cheap to make.

Re: SheriMoonFireFly – Hey beautiful. How are things in your world? Not too shitfukshitfukshitfuk I hope? Big kisses on the cheek for you.

    23. 23

Ahhhh yes, marriage is SOO sacred!

    24. 24

The heterosexual union is so sacred they can marry off strangers on TV for fame and money?
Yet same-sex couples who are truly in love and been together for years still cannot have the same rights- coz it's a "Threat to the institution of marriage"! Bull shit! and Tons of it!

    25. 25

      Joy and happiness

Re: Mistress – Just fine! Good game. But the only problem is, Monday!
Ah work. Glad to have it!

    27. 27

Re: Mistress – And how are you?

    28. 28

This sounds like something I'd actually tune in to see. I hate "reality" TV but I do like documentaries and I find other cultures interesting and would be interested in learning more about other cultures that have different traditions than we have in America.

    29. 29

no, i will not watch this show.
      there are a million negative
aspects i could point out about
      this show, and the documentation
      of it all. pure ridiculousness.

wow…I really would like to spend a good hour watching that…NOT!

    33. 33

I'll watch if I run outa wine…cig's or anythin else that can entertain me :)

    34. 34

sheerimoongirl the concept is arranged marriage. How do you know about something until you've not tried it out. I wouldn't do it myself but lots of people in my country do it. Its a way of life. Food for thought

    35. 35

I will totally watch it. Although I don't agree with arranged marriage at all, I find it fascinating that young people still abide by these arrangements. Like these arrangements are happening right here in Canada!?!? Today!!! That's so baffling to me..

    36. 36

no, won't be watching. (talk about Juming the Shark, CBS . . .)

    37. 37

I know a couple of people that have had arranged marriages and they have had healthy, happy marriages. It would be interesting to learn about…

    38. 38

I watch most programs dealing with other countries cultures. I suggest the stupid American Bible thumpers do the same.

    39. 39

      I cant wait to watch!
