Hillary Duff On The Defensive, Lashes Back At Faye Dunaway

A few days ago, the 'original' Bonnie, Faye Dunaway, blasted the casting of Hillary Duff in a new Bonnie and Clyde movie.
The Oscar winner said that Hils wasn't a 'real' actress.
Well, The Duffster just bit back at the old screen lady in a new interview with E!'s Daily 10. And we loves it!
Says Hilary:
"I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don't even know who she is, so you know…. I think it was a little unnecessary but I might be mad if I looked like that now too."

It is time to buy the original movie with Ms. Dunaway. I can´t remember when was the last time I watched it, but this reminded me of what a magnificent actress she is. As for Ms. Duff, we should all wait until her movie is released. Her work could be equally good…

BTW, Faye Dunaway was/is notoriously unprofessional and difficult to work with.
I remember Bette Davis (who was a consummate professional, and a talent that far surpassed Dunaway's) ripped Faye a new one in her autobiography, and refused to work with her.

While I agree Hilary Duff isnt exactly the best dramatic actress around, Faye Dunaway just made herself look like bitter and jealous old hag making catty remarks about her. She just should have wished her luck, and let the critics dish out the harsh remarks and comparisons when the movie came out. As for Hilary's remarks…ha ha…a little low, but pretty funny. No doubt Faye Dunaway was a good actress and many of her films are classics. I think she should have had the good taste and grace to congratulate Hillary Duff and wish her well instead o making tacky remarks obviously based on jealousy and resentment, typical of has been actors. Faye Dunaway, in spite of all the cosmetic work she had done recently, including new teeth, is less than graceful about aging and taking her place among the "stars" of yester-year. I have had several encounters with her through the years in Hollywood and she is not a nice person. I guess there must be some reason for her hostility and anger toward other people, both fans and stars. I wish her luck and good things anyway.
