A few days ago, the 'original' Bonnie, Faye Dunaway, blasted the casting of Hillary Duff in a new Bonnie and Clyde movie.
The Oscar winner said that Hils wasn't a 'real' actress.
Well, The Duffster just bit back at the old screen lady in a new interview with E!'s Daily 10. And we loves it!
Says Hilary:
"I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don't even know who she is, so you know…. I think it was a little unnecessary but I might be mad if I looked like that now too."

Bonnie and Clyde is one the best films ever made. It's ridiculous that they want to remake it. But if they are going to remake it, I have to agree with Faye. As much as I like little Hillary, she's hardly the right actress for this role. They need someone fresh. Someone with a more authentic, natural, organic wildness.

I think Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty are both choked about the remake. Considering everything Warren had to go through to get that movie made and released. They pulled it from the theatres once and he fought to get it back. The rest is history. Too bad the young actors today don't respect their predecessors. The people who opened all the doors for them.

It's very uncharacteristic for Duff to lash out in a nasty way, but Ms. Dunaway was out of line with her comment regarding Duff's acting skills. This girl (Duff) really can act; and should not be looked down upon simply due to her meteoric rise due to today's media looking to sell magazines and websites with a good looking and hugely popular face. Duff has been acting for many years, and is actually quite seasoned and nuanced, from even a young age. She is one person who actually could competently tackle bigger acting roles; but nasty carping rather than generous mentorship from Dunaway only leaves me wondering about Dunaway. If Dunaway really looked at Hillary Duff's work in front of a camera, I maintain that she would come away feeling sheepish.
