Jacko Sued Again!!!

Oh boy, Dr. Tohme Tohme is in for it now!
Wacko Jacko is being slammed with yet another lawsuit.
This time, Cameroonian singer Manu Dibango is suing for $643,000 in damages over an unlicensed sample.
Jackson already acknowledges the sample from Dibango's 1972 Soul Makossa used in Wanna Be Startin' Something off of Thriller. The artists came to a decision regarding that back in the 80s.
About 20 years later, Rihanna - in good faith - obtained Wacko's permission to utilize the same sample in Please Don't Stop The Music, without containing Dibango.
Dibango's lawyers have asked the French courts to block Sony BMG, EMI and Warner from any income from the records until the matter is settled mid-February.

Interesting situation indeed. Perez, keep us posted on developments to this story. I anticipate RiRi will have to pay out to Dibango, unless the Jackson decision in the '80 eliminated Dibango's rights. A sample of a sample is still a sample.
