Natalie Cole In Need Of New Kidney

Natalie Cole had to be hospitalized for health issues last September.
The singer has been diagnosed with Hepatitis C and has been trying to battle the disease with chemotherapy. The 58-year-old Cole is currently waiting for a kidney transplant. That would help put an end to the dialysis she has to undergo three times a week!
On a positive note, it seems like her son, 31-year-old Robert, may be a donor.
She said during an interview on Tuesday, "My son may be a possible [donor] match. It's very sweet and kind of strange to have people offer something like that."
Cole is a fighter! Despite her medical issues, she didn't let that stop her from touring worldwide the past six months.
Let's hope she gets a transplant soon and recuperates quickly.
P.S. Natalie used to be a hardcore druggie back in the day, which probably contributed to her health woes.

Hep C is one of the fastest growing diseases in the country- I'm glad to see people that are outspoken about it! I hope she can find a match, she's in my prayers.

That makes me sick that she would even consider taking a kidney from her son. I have two kids, and I would never want to take the chance of affecting their health later in their lives by taking one of their organs.
I never understood her descent into drugs. She was young, talented, beautiful, financially secure.
Yours truly struggled in life and grew up in a housing project in the Bronx, yet never once tried hardcore drugs. I don't understand all the brothers and sisters who squander their youth and talents for drugs.

She used to be really fucked up, but somehow she's been able to live significantly longer than her papa. (NOTE: his death was a tragedy, thanks to his heavy smoking vice. What a horrible, early loss!!!)
i admire natalie cole beyond words. she has been forthright and honest about her early drug issues and has helped inspire legions of people to clean up their acts. and how many living singers possess a voice so sublime? or her intelligence. i pray for her every day.

By "may have contributed" do you mean "caused"? She is talented, and clearly she works very hard for her fans and for herself, but in the end, she did this to herself. She had no concern for her health when she was shooting up.
