More Idol Shadiness Exposed
They should change the show's name to American Reject Idol with all the failed showbiz contestants littering this year's competition.
In a previous post, we highlighted who those showbiz failures are and the projects they sucked ass at before landing a spot in the current cycle of the show.
Well, Star magazine has uncovered more stuff about one of those 'reject contestants' that will make Idol purists' blood boil.
In addition to having starred in a Broadway show and a had a major record deal, contestant Joanna Pacitti has 'superclose ties' to TWO Idol folks.
An snitch told the mag that suits Michelle Young and Roger Widynowski associated with the show have very personal connections to the Idol hopeful. Joanna has apparently referred to Michelle as her "manager" and "best friend," and credited Roger with "helping me get where I am today."
AND, the three of them even lived in the same L.A. apartment complex for several years.
"It really seems unfair," says the insider to the tab.

The rules clearly state that as long as you are not CURRENTLY under contract or with a label you can audition. That is all that matters. No one cares that someone HAD a label that dropped them. Carley Smithson from last season also had a contract at one point but never made it big. It's really not a big deal.

Anyone who believes IDOL is legit at all is fooling themselves. I happen to know that David Archuletta was contacted by IDOL and asked to try out. IDOL seeks out talent in advance now and sets up the auditions. I wouldn't be surprised if they also seek out a few of the trainwreck/comic types too. But I know for certain, 100%, that David Archuletta was contacted by IDOL to try out in the first place. That is the way the show works now. Those aren't random unknowns following a dream, a lot of them are sought out talent.

Dude….she was cast in Annie on Broadway, and then they took her role back from her before she ever got to do it. So she never "starred on Broadway". She never got the chance to. perez you are full of shit, you know damn well a lot of the contestants are singers who have already had careers. Kelly Clarkson had a recording contract before she was on the show! the rules state you must not be currently under contract, otherwise anyone can audition and be on the show.
Like, OMGz, I'm so outraged, pfft. What's so unfair???? The music industry, television AND Jollywood are completely fake. If you believe ANYTHING believe that it's all about making money from your paycheck and that's about all the truth you need. Who cares who knows who - the best moneymaker will "win" the "contest" period.
