Phelps Says He's Sorry - Again! Michael Gives New Interview
Michael "Don't Look At The Face" Phelps continues to kowtow, telling reporters after swimming practice o Tuesday about the whole bog pic controversy that "It's obviously bad judgment and it's something I'm not proud of at all. I will say that with the mistakes that I've made in my life, I've learned from them. Every one of them. And I've become a better person. That's what I plan to do from here."
In his first interview since the bong picture surfaced, Phelps denied being a regular user and added, "This was stupid, and I know this won't happen again."
Good thinking, since the scandal has earned him some unwanted attention, from paparazzi parades to early morning pranksters with megaphones outside his bedroom window.
Now time to to get back to practice and go for the green gold!

During the olympics i wasn't that interested in phelps, he seemed boring and kind of dumb. seeing him take a hit from a bong made him more human, more normal. Weed isn't the end of the world, he wasn't doing coke or crack or meth, he wasn't caught doing steriods or sharing a bed with a child. He was in college and at a party and he took a bong hit, thats normal. And reallllly cute in this picture.

The fact that so many people are making such a big deal about a PLANT is ridiculous. Why is weed illegal in the first place? Can anyone really answer that question? If legalized, it could create thousands of jobs and would actually help the government out. Plus, marijuana has been proven to actually help prevent and cure some cancers and diseases. It is not addicting and is good and fun in moderation. This shouldn't even be classified as drug use because it's not something chemical, like cocaine or ecstasy. It's a medicinal plant. For people who think pot is bad for you, have you ever smoked it? If eaten in food or smoked out of a vaporizer, which is 100% better for you, it is not harmful. People have actually driven better while high. The fact that alcohol is legal and it causes death, violence, accidents and overdose is ridiculous, where all weed does is mellow you out and it's literally impossible to overdose on. People need to start doing research instead of assuming things.
This "scandal" is the best thing that happened to him… how often do swimmers get all this attention??? He is pretty smart and no doubt pretty soon he will be working for an anti-drugs organization and endorsing new products because he is still out there! Good move Phelps!

Phelps states that he will discuss his future with his family and coach Bob Bowman. Phelps is still reeling from the reaction to photos of him smoking marijuana. He spent the past couple of days apologizing for his actions. The truth may be that his sponsors are going to bail and he knows it.

I don't smoke pot but I think that it should be decriminalized. But Michael should have ben told in no uncertain terms by his agents and advisers that he needed to stay away from drugs, and to be VERY careful what he did in public (cell phone camers are EVERYWHERE). Many pro athletes have to sign morals clauses and promise in writing to stay away from a lot of things, from drugs to dangerous activities such as skiing or motorcycles. It comes with the territory. You and I may think it's unfair, but no one held a gun to Michael's head when he signed on the dotted line.
