Bale's Apology, In His Own Words
As we mentioned earlier today, angry actor Christian Bale called in to Los Angeles' KROQ Friday morning and apologized on the Kevin & Bean show for that scary tirade on the set of Terminator Slavation that has become an Internet hit.
Bale took the time to shove his tiny peen between his legs and clear some things up.
He did sound sincere to us. Then again, he IS an actor, so you make the call.
Some of the HIGHlights include:
“It’s been a miserable week for me."
"Listen, I know I have a pottymouth, everybody knows that now, but I understand this is live, so please don't worry, I will behave."
"The thing that I really want to stress is that I have no confusion whatsoever. I was out of order, beyond belief. I was way out of order. I acted like a punk. The thing that disturbs me so much is that I’ve heard a lot of people saying that I seem to think I’m better than anybody else."

I hear he is being sued by his mother and sister for assault. This guy apparently has a bad problem/sickness and should get help before he hurts or even kills someone. What a candy ass! With all the hardships the American people and others are enduring, this asshole throws a hissy fit because someone walked in his scene and he had to do another take. Can you imagine having to endure such a treacherous life? I guess that's the mind set you develop when you make a living by displaying yourself before crowds of people to be looked at, and parading around on red carpets for the cameras. This guy should get a good dose of the real world and real life….maybe he'd grow up just a little bit.

I already think how amazing it is that movie actors can put out the kind of work that they do with a bajillion people staring at em on the set during ONE scene. he just lost it, we do too sometimes, except he had a recorder on. one day our recorder will be played back to us and we will be the ones cringing. true. we all lose it at some point… i'm waiting for the recorded apology he should've offered up immediately following the incident. cause i've done that. lost it completely, than instantly felt so embarrassed and disgusted in myself that i had to apologize… immediately. did that happen? or is he just embarrassed that everyone else has heard it now? who knows and really, who cares… i guess.

I think the apology was a good one- he recognizes he was out of order and over the top with his anger. I just wish he didn't urge people not to abandon his movie cause then it might sound like he is more worried about ticket sales then he is about being sorry. I hope he learns from this and not to use his star power to abuse underlings.

Anyone familiar with his body of work (and wow what a body it is) knows that he's never been comfortable with fame, he is dedicated to the point of a bit of insanity (but aren't the cute ones always a little off their rockers) Just watch that Machinist and see what he did to himself for that role. Yeah he is being sued for "battery" but in England that can include slightly shoving someone as you walk past them, which is what he did, to his mother because she was talking smack about his wife. Oh boy! I've noticed an uptick in support for Bale. God, you people who say "What's the big deal — we all lose our tempers" are lame! It's a lot easier to just go along with the crowd isn't it? I love Christian Bale.
It probably has been a miserable week for him and again, it's all about how the mistake is handled after the fact and I think his apology was simple, honest and clear. He didn't go over the top and try and defend himself - he knows what he did was wrong. The real assholes are the people who try and defend their actions even when it was aboslutely clear they were in the wrong. It would have disturbed me if he was defensive and if he took pleasure in the fact that his Bale Out Remix was widely popular.
Everybody makes mistakes - no matter what those mistakes are. I'm glad he called in, in the middle of this controversy. I respect him for that.
I produced some films in Los Angeles so I am very familiar with the movie scene. The question is who is this asshole from the Sound Dept. who sold and got paid for this tape? She/he should be barred from the film business. It's normal on the set that some people explode and Christian Bale had the right to do it. The cinematographer made a stupid mistake. Major NO NO.

i love bale, and that he doesn't pretend to be someone he's not, or let the whole celebrity idea consume him. like he says, he's an actor first and foremost, he takes what he does very seriously. it's tough working on film sets with distractions, and he is notorious for getting VERY into character. i believe he was sincere in his apology, he's an adult and professional enough to get that he was out of line.
You know, I am sick of these public apologies. Bales obviously has a serious problem and I do not for one minute buy the sincerity behind the apology. They probably don't want to apologize but HAVE to. It's like the Michael Phelps bong story - Who cares anyway? And remember the Mel Gibson apology? Gimmee a break and grow up.
I think he's sincere. Even Ron Howard, the director, understood Christian's actions. Howard's daughter, Bryce Howard, is co-starring with Christian in Terminator and she told her dad that Christian was justified in his outburst AND apologized later (no one bothered to tape that, I'm sure).

If he had only done this sort of thing once and then publicly apologized, maybe he would be a more sympathetic character. However, the taped outburst is the second outburst the public is aware of in a very short period of time so it represents a pattern of behavior rather than just a one off thing that happened to him on "a bad day".
