Bale's Apology, In His Own Words
As we mentioned earlier today, angry actor Christian Bale called in to Los Angeles' KROQ Friday morning and apologized on the Kevin & Bean show for that scary tirade on the set of Terminator Slavation that has become an Internet hit.
Bale took the time to shove his tiny peen between his legs and clear some things up.
He did sound sincere to us. Then again, he IS an actor, so you make the call.
Some of the HIGHlights include:
“It’s been a miserable week for me."
"Listen, I know I have a pottymouth, everybody knows that now, but I understand this is live, so please don't worry, I will behave."

What Perez never mentions is he *did* appologize to the DP, the next day… if you take the time to follow the link he talks about how he appologized to the DP and things were fine for the rest of filming.
Sure it's just his side of the story, however, it's kinda lame Perez wouldn't put that up there, since I agree, it doesn't seem sincere as an appology if it's not shown he appologized to the DP FIRST.
I'd love to hear what the DP has to say about all of this.

I believe what he says and I do believe he's genuinely embarassed although he shouldn't be because we've all done it. We've all been jerks and felt bad about it. There is no reason why he shouldn't. I do like that he didn't excuse his behavior he just said he acted like a jerk and he was sorry. Who cares? I've been a jerk many times, even to my own mother.

Apology accepted. By the way, he DID apologise to the DP, they sorted the whole thing out that day. He also said, that people were kind of insulting the DP by thinking that Christian could bully him, because he's not a smaller guy (but an ex football player) and can more than hold his own. He knew there was no excuse for what he did, owned up to it. I think he apologised to the public, because he didn't want people to boycoutt the movie on account of his actions, when so many other people have spent months working hard on it.
well, if you know the work of Mr. Bale (remember "The Machinist"?) then you know how he puts himselfinto that whole thing. And I think it is not easy for a (good) actor to do that, so I totally understand why he was flipping when someone is walking around for some work he should have done MUCH earlier!

Didn't he have some kind of temper issue with a family member, his sister maybe? It's displaying a pattern of behavior. He can apologize til the cows come home, but he might need some help in the anger management area. It's one thing to lose your temper, but his rant went on for SO long, in a workplace situation. I think it's a genuine apology. I've always loved Christian Bale and yeah he did go over the top but everybody gets angry and he was trying to be his character so he was probably stressed out anyway but wasn't this shoot like just after Heath Ledger died? That must have been upsetting for him too.

The whole thing with his mother and sister is stupid. They're trying to get money out of him. I looked it up when the whole thing started and he got angry with them but he didn't hit them he walked past them but hit one of them with his shoulder. If you call that assault then i'm assaulted daily. The police said there was no evidence against him last time i read it but i haven't heard anything since.

I believe him. He has always been humble about being famous and it was taken out of context( the whole rant - what happened really before he went off?). He takes his job seriously and protects his family - he is a method actor - he wasnt using his real voice - he has a british accent- and yes, we have all had bad days and have had people passive aggressively pick fights with us. It would be very hypocritical to think we have not acted like that or wishing we could. All anger aside - it was controlled and it makes me laugh to think his mother and sister who want to bleed him dry sell him out saying,"See! Isnt he dangerouse!" Go Bale. Respect you even more now!
Roxy, no, I am not a hypocrite, I have never behaved like that. I've been angry, yes, but not out of control (and yes he was out of control, else people wouldn't be raising eyebrows at it). And there is a big difference between thinking of doing something and actually acting on it. That's the difference between being a child and being an adult.
I think he's sincere. He's right to be overwhelmed with all the fame, since his career has really taken off this past year. Yes, it wasn't right for him to go on a 3 minute tirade, screaming the F word and basically overreacting. However, we have to all keep in mind something: Were we there on the set with Christian and the rest of the cast/crew? Were we there to see what REALLY went down that day? No, we weren't. We should also remember that this was recorded months ago, right around the time Bale was having problems with his money-hungry mom and sister and was facing assault charges. Factor in the stress of coming to work everyday and being on your "A-game" and it's enough to make any person freak, even if it was over virtually nothing. While I don't condone Christian's freakout, I do believe he was sincere in his apology and I hope that all of this bruhaha will die down and we can focus on what a diverse and talented actor he is.
