A publicist for Subway has refuted claims that Michael Phelps has been dropped as a Subway spokeswhore.
"Like most Americans, and like Michael Phelps himself, we were disappointed in his behavior. Also like most Americans, we accept his apology. Moving forward, he remains in our plans," said the sandwich maker's mouth piece.

Subway said that even if they dropped him, it's likely they'd have to pay him the full contract anyway.

I'm a lawyer in my 60's and I have smoked weed several times a week since the late 60's, as do many of my friends and family. I was hoping to see it legalized in my lifetime, but I don't think its going to happen. Weed should be put in the same category as nicotine and alcohol. When was the last time anyone heard of someone dying because of weed? Nicotine and alcohol kills thousands of people daily. I've never seen anyone get violent after smoking weed, but I've represented hundreds who hurt other people after drinking. Legalize and tax the stuff - it will help the economy more than any other stimulus.
