Carmaker Nissan announced Monday that they are cutting 20,000 jobs worldwide.

This problem affects us all, y'all.

      this is the problem, WHO cares about nissan, these fuckers won't allow trade into their countries, sure we can make the cars here, but in a situation like now, everyone is getting laid off so no one is buying anything, so the cars we have here will stay here collecting dust, instead of being able to ship them overseas. The trade agreement is utimately in need of an overhaul

      yes, but Nissan did it the right way. They ALSO cut their executives salaries 10% AND stopped all exec bonuses which kept them from having to fire even more people. The American companies, fire more people just so they can still give their exects their ridiculous bonuses.

      Of course there aren't any "American cars" - America's gas-guzzling car producers got a bailout. It's only the thousands of middle American's working for Nissan that are screwed. You know, all those folks in Tennessee who build the cars? Could you be any more shortsighted?

      including my father…. the CAR itself isn't the issue here… it is the people who have busted their asses for OVER 15 years being handed a pink slip and left without any options… I don't have a Nissan, and personally don't give a shit about their product, but I do and will continue to keep those who have lost/are losing their job in my prayers… i know it's difficult when you've invested such a large portion of your life into a company who preaches their respect for employers, guarentees that working overtime and being absent at holiday gatherings, etc. will pay off once you retire… HA. FUCK NISSAN and my prayers are with those who have a new chapter in their life to look forward to.

      p.s. and not just nissan, all of those who have lost their jobs, or anything for that matter. My hope is that it will make you stronger and realize that NOW, your opportunities are infinite!!!
