There are even more cancelations in the sad world of aftermath of this weekend's vicious attack.
Rihanna turns 21 this month, and the singer and her label had been planning together a big 21st birthday bash for her on February 20th in New York City.
The carnival-themed soiree was to entertain about 200 guests.
The event has been, understandably, called off.
Hopefully, though, Rihanna will get over this hurdle quickly and come back stronger than before!

I thought about this last night but had he continued to hit her in the head she might have died. Head Traumas are intense and depending on the victims health she could have had a brain aneurysm. Not to mention that most people in Hollywood don't take care of themselves with radical diets, over time hours, constant travel, parties, drugs , etc. Ugh this whole thing has made my stomach turn and what's worse is rappers like T.I. saying ignorant things like "This too shall past". If this was an ANIMAL getting abused and beaten, people and PETA would be ALL UP IN ARMS, SCREAMING for jail time for the abuser. WHERE are the domestic violence representatives in all of this?! WHY are no agencies speaking out?

I'm a woman. I've also worked as a social worker and the one question that is forefront in my mind is what provoked the attack? Did Rihanna hit Chris? What started the argument that led to a beat down? I'm not excusing his behavior but at the same time I do realize that there are TWO sides to every story.
If this was an animal getting abused/beaten, people ( and PETA) would be up in arms, demanding jail time for the abuser. Where are the domestic violence representatives in all of this?! Why are no agencies speaking out?

This is such a sad story. I was never a huge fan, but always thought they made a cute couple for people their age to follow. I hope Rihanna can get past this and possibly forgive Chris, but should not go back to him if he is this way. No one deserves this treatment, no matter what the cause. Chris should have been the bigger man and walked away if something caused him to take such action. Now he has possibly ruined his career as well as his personal life.
At this time Im sure ALOT of young ladies are looking to Rihanna to see what her next move will be. She probably will have an impact on young women and how they will react to an abusive boyfriend. I hope she does the right thing. And I hope she can write some great songs to empower young ladies when she is emotionally healed.
