Re: BBBoricua loves Angels & Demons… – do you like science? it's a proven fact that farts contain methane and that cows are the biggest contributors to our ozone problems ;)

  8. 8

OMG! How will I every wend my way through the supermarket aisles without the aid of Muzak? Or ride in an elevator?

Actually, this is very sad. I despise "rickey-ticky" music, BUT to have a company as prominent as Muzak going under says a great deal about the state of the economy. It's broke!

  9. 9

all those weird posts that perez keeps putting up with no comments enabled hint that he is teaming up with britney spears to do something big. probably during her upcoming tour ….

  10. 10

we should all ride elevators before the muzak stops! One last memory :-(

  11. 11

    Pop, Pop, Pop, POP MUZAK!

Re: Farticus – I called. Teddy actually masterminded the whole thing since Perez has been out of the house all day. Teddy wants someone who lives in the Valley area to come rescue him. I think its 5 cents a second, but it's hard to understand all the barking so it might take longer.

Re: LG sez Drug Test Palin NOW! – LOL! So true. Sorry for the lost jobs though.

Re: Farticus – LOL! Thanks for the 411. It's more interesting than some elevator music!!!
Jubilee called the number, check the previous post!!!!

  15. 15

Poor Kenny G! That perm can only get you so far in this world.

  16. 16

I wonder what happens to all the "rickey-ticky" music that Muzak has played (patented or copyrighted?) over the years? Will it drift off into space, never to be heard again? Boo Hoo!

Every day we learn that another major Corporation or Company is filing for bankruptcy. How much longer will the economy last, at this rate?

  17. 17

    Re: Farticus – See? Told ya… :)

  18. 18

Re: Jubilee – really? it's a message from Teddy? lame the "comment off" posts today were all about teddy? what the h-e-double hockey sticks

  19. 19

Re: BBBoricua loves Angels & Demons… – I see perez is super lame. lol I'm glad you like science I do too! ;)

No shit Sherlock. I think we all got it.

  22. 22

So does that mean they will start playing REAL music in elevators from now on?
    You wish!

    good they suck!

  25. 25

Oh no, oh no, no more "Girl From Ipanema" playing endlessly on the elevator while the Blues Brothers destroy a government building? How sad!

  26. 26

Re: theresalongo – I'll bet that Madonna has asked him to do a commercial spot for her.

  27. 27

RE: Perez's news: Teddy has come out of the closet and demands a gay doggie wedding?

  28. 28

hahah my dad's friend invented that shit.

  29. 29

Re: Jubilee – ROTF, crying with L!

  30. 30

That's sad. At least they won't be destroying good music anymore. I heard ganster's paradise muzak style at the shopping center.

  31. 31

i learned something new… didn't know that there was a company that supplies elevator music. i think i could have gone the rest of my life and been okay without knowing this haha

  32. 32

oh, have they won a grammy yet?

  33. 33

They also provide the instore plays for most grocery stores ad retail stores around the country. So what kinda weird crap are they going to play now? Perhaps local radio stations in the background.

  34. 34

Re: kerkieberkie – They don't just make "elevator music" they make copyrighted cd compilations, with the actual artists, for most stores @ the country, based on demographic research. Just thought I'd throw that out there. :D

  35. 35

Great. I used to work in a fast food joint in high school. I had to listen to that piped in crap every day I worked there. I am not sure how they stayed in business this long.

  36. 36

Thank god for that. Muzak is torture.

  37. 37

i had no idea muzak was actually a company name

  38. 38

One beacon of light (!) in this astronomical, horrific republican created disaster.

  39. 39

they are only reorganizing. they filed ch 11.

"Muzak" had NOTHING to do with elevator music.

They supplied very hip, well-researched music sets in broadcasts to stores and restaurants. It was great, independent-sounding music that you wouldn't hear on a commercial radio station.

I was so impressed by the quality and originality of the music they were programming, that I checked their website to see if they offered streaming radio or that I could somehow pay for service to my home. Very sorry to hear that their customers could no longer afford their services. I tried to be a customer! :(
