OMG! How will I every wend my way through the supermarket aisles without the aid of Muzak? Or ride in an elevator?

Actually, this is very sad. I despise "rickey-ticky" music, BUT to have a company as prominent as Muzak going under says a great deal about the state of the economy. It's broke!

Re: Farticus – I called. Teddy actually masterminded the whole thing since Perez has been out of the house all day. Teddy wants someone who lives in the Valley area to come rescue him. I think its 5 cents a second, but it's hard to understand all the barking so it might take longer.

They also provide the instore plays for most grocery stores ad retail stores around the country. So what kinda weird crap are they going to play now? Perhaps local radio stations in the background.

"Muzak" had NOTHING to do with elevator music.

They supplied very hip, well-researched music sets in broadcasts to stores and restaurants. It was great, independent-sounding music that you wouldn't hear on a commercial radio station.

I was so impressed by the quality and originality of the music they were programming, that I checked their website to see if they offered streaming radio or that I could somehow pay for service to my home. Very sorry to hear that their customers could no longer afford their services. I tried to be a customer!
