      I'd take him a lot more seriously if he'd quit smoking. It totally negates anything he has to say about helping those with cancer. He isn't even helping himself!

      I agree w/him to a point, but just because there may be a cure or a treatment, in this country, it does not mean everyone can get access or has the money Mr. Swayze has to get that treatment.
      I think that we also need to focus on healthcare and provide it for every family in the U.S. (legal residents and citizens).
      I also disagree that this will stimulate the economy, not everyone out there is in the medical field, they need to create jobs for the average Joe.
      Just my 2 cents.

      Although I agree w/him on some points, at the same time Mr. Swayze needs to realize that not everyone has the funds to obtain the treatment, as he does. There are many many American families that are un-insured due to cost. HMO's are a joke, etc…
      We need to come up w/a healthcare system that will make his proposal feasible for everyone.
      Also I disagree that it will help the employment situation. Not everyone is in the medical profession. Jobs for the average Joe also need to be addressed.
      This country's middle class is disappearing, it is increasingly becoming the land of the wealthy, sort of like England at one time.

      I'm astonished he can go anywhere without being pelted by rocks and rotten fruit. What a selfish son of a bitch. He has no couth and no pride. He should crawl into a hole and self-annihilate. UNBELIEVABLE! Absolutely unfuckingbelievable!!! suddenly cancer research matters because it's "personal." He even comes right out and SAYS "I care about myself, save me." He has money, many cancer victims do not. God he makes he want to hurl. If I saw him I would run out of oxygen spewing my thoughts on his vile creepiness. And he has NO SHAME, actually writing a fucking LETTER, like his cancer matters more than the cancer of millions of others? "Me first" I guess he'd say if someone found a cure in a bottle. What a total ass. I will celebrate when he finally kicks off. Worst are the people who actually admire him. It's just nauseating. He's a self-focused peabrain.

      You bunch of incompetents. I am a non- smoker, and yet I will sit here and say he should keep smoking as much as he wants. He will die regardless, and may as well continue with his habits. Can you imagine being that sick with cancer AND going through nicotine withdrawals??? It makes me chuckle to read comments from you people who have no brains.

      AND for those of you who scrutinize him for only being interested in cancer research now that he has it. Let me ask you this, do any of you give money or time to organizations that do not directly pertain to you? I doubt it. Hypocrites.

      How about some people leave positive comments for his health and his family? Just because he's a celebrity doesn't take from his humanity. You wouldn't dare say such things to a family member. Shame on you.
