A source says Jay-Z ws enraged when he heard that douchebag Brown allegedly hit RiRi.
The source adds, "He hit the roof. Chris is a walking dead man. He messed with the wrong crew."
Another source had just confirms that during the fight, Chris "pimp-slapped her and punched her in the face."
So we can understand why Jay-Z is upset.
A few years ago RiRi even said in an interview "I just found out from a mutual friend that guys will talk to Jay first before they try to approach me. He's very protective. If its true that Jay-Z is "fuming mad," I doubt Jay is going to kill Chris Brown. Jay-z is after all a media mogul (for lack of better terms) and he is married to Beyonce Knowles, so he has a lot to lose in killing someone.
That said, Jay-Z is still old-school, and still comes from some pretty tough times in some pretty rough places. I doubt Brown will stay on Def-Jam's label, or within any of Vivendi's music subsidiaries (Vivendi owns Universal, which owns Island Def Jam), and I further doubt that Jay is going to let Chris Brown just walk from this, if indeed it is true (nothing says CB actually did beat Rihanna yet, we just have lots of seemingly strong support to the claim)(I don't doubt it, however). CB's only character references are stars who loosely know him, and most of them won't really want to come to his support when facing down Rihanna in a felony case (8th most beautiful woman in the world as told by FHM compared to a guy who just lost all respect in the eyes of millions?).
Have other stars come back from problems, even self-created ones, CB is facing? Yes, but they've forever been tainted by it, and becoming walking punch lines. CB's career could've gone to megastar status: he now can't ever be much higher than a glorified wedding singer. His days in the spotlight are done. The remainder of them will be spent in scrutiny and shame.
