Idol Disqualified!
Shady American Idol semi-finalist Joanna Pacitti has just been disqualified from the competition!
Finally!!
Fox released a statement late Wednesday explaining Pacitti's disqualification as to "avoid the appearance of impropriety."
The speculation about the legitimacy of Pacitti to be in the running for American Idol included rumors of the "aspiring" songstress being planted in the competition due to a close relationship with certain people close to Idol as well as a former record deal with A&R Records, where the faker had tracks featured on the Legally Blonde and Nancy Drew soundtracks.
Did the bigwigs over at Fox really think they could sneak this atrocity past Idol extremists???
Pacitti has been replaced in the semi-finals by the more deserving Felicia Barton, 26, who will go on to compete in the Top 36.

It was SO obvious she was a plant. Last night SHE was kept in, even though she forgot the lyrics EVERY TIME SHE WAS UP ON STAGE during Hollywood week, yet they kicked out girls that were better singers and had delivered better. There was NO OTHER EXCUSE that she made it through, somebody had to be pimping for her. It's a shame that they thought people were THAT stupid that we can't even tell when an inferior singer is being given a pass.
i don't really watch idol…did on tuesday though. that anoop kid better win.

Re: Spindoc – My cousin made it through 7 rounds of Idol. She is 17. They told her she was too young and to come back next year. Yet people at the final audition were dressed like idiots/horrible singers and performers and they kept them. It's all a set up. Paula had the nerve to tell her that "her voice was too perfect." What the fuck does that even mean? Crackheads!

Get over it! Who really cares if they plant singers or not. The fact is that girl had her big break and then got knocked down by the business. She was trying to go at it again. The fact of the matter is that girl CAN sing unlike some other they let through who don't have an ounce of talent, but a little bit a humor that gets them going a long way. I feel bad for her and I hope she gets another record deal just for trying to make it again and accomplish her dream.

I'm glad this slitch finally got booted. I was so pissed last night. She is nothing but a stupid homewrecking slut. Not only that, she goes out with Mark Ballas who is in a band and guess who wrote a song for his band? That new judge. I'm soooo happy homewrecking hobag got what she deserved. She has had so many chances. Obviously noone likes her voice and that's why she's a flop!!!!
I have know Felicia Barton since we were teens, she has always had an awesome voice and her and her husband are the music pastors at her fathers church. She deserves it!

Jamar was the best total package for the show and they booted him…shame on AI. Obviously this competition isn't about singing at all. I hope Jamar goes on to make millions with is talent and I hope his buddy who did make it wins it all.

Realistically, she probably isn't the only one there who wasn't really just a random auditioner. I happen to know that David Archuletta was contacted by AI producers and was asked to audition for the show. I'm sure they have a team of people out there looking for a few "sure things" - good voice and a good back story. I wouldn't be surprised if there are others in the top 36 that were recruited to audition for the show.

I think its total bullshit that she was kicked off - Carly worked with Randy last season and stayed. For all the haters on here - she deserves the same chance as everyone else. She wasn't promoted properly with Geffen - probably wouldn't F*** the big shots at the label so she was put on the back burner. She hasn't been the only one that forgot lines and many have made it big - Carrie Underwood for example. I am sure the girl was under a great deal of stress over all this crap. I will never watch Idol again. How can they kick a girl who can sing and keep the likes of Tatiana (What of F*n Joke!)
What's the name of the good looking black kid who got booted? He's best friends with the guy who did make it, who's wife recently died?! Is his name Jamar?? He was so good, we couldn't believe he got booted!!! Everyone kept hoping they'd bring him back - how could they do that??? Is Jamar the one with the piercing who was friends with the white guy who lost his wife? I never bother remembering names at this stage because they get rid of everyone I like. But they kept that shreiking twit Tatiana - I will have to mute the TV every time she comes on!
I'd also like to say that I don't for half a second believe that Kara really recognized Joanna at that audition. I believe Joanna was recruited for the show, the same was David A was last year - and that whole "I recognize you" crap was planned and staged by the show to try to avoid the whole… she's a ringer backlash. I am 100% sure they had Kara say that so the show would be able to avoid having it come out later and look like they tried to hide it. She'd more likely recognize that HOKU chick, Don Ho's daughter, than remember some random chick that never even hit the charts.
The biggest problem is that this girl is not incredible good, memorable, or likable. She was just there - she didn't have any sort of star charisma about her. If she had been better liked by the audience, she would have stayed in the top 36. Course, I suppose if she had that charisma - her album and original opportunity at a career would have gone better.
I think that is pretty shitty…..

Obviously, you don't have a clue! She is a much better singer that most of the female artists on the radio - She has the "it" factor, she didn't f*** her way to get ahead in the music industry and that is why her record didn't sell - her label did a shitty job promoting her. There is no way tAI recruited her. I am sure she went there thinking that AI was a platform to be heard. Unfortunately, she was disqualified for reasons I still don't believe or understand since past idol contestants were allowed to participate even though they had as much if not more experience or a connection to someone that deals with the show. Get your facts straight before you blab your mouth!

It's an opinion - and mine is that she was not charismatic. Sorry - but it's my opinion. You seem to have some sort of personal connection to her and seem to be taking a little bit extra offense. And I will again state that my opinion as to why she wasn't allowed to stay even though those last season were was because she hadn't yet struck any cord with the audience. I believe if she was an early fan favorite like some of the others, they would have let it slide.
If she is as fantastic as you believe, then she will get another deal elsewhere and in all likelihood be better for it. Other than Carrie & Kelly, the key to having success after American Idol seems to be NOT winning the competition. i.e. Kellie Pickler, Chris Daughtry, Josh Gracin, Bucky Covington has done alright… I suppose the strategy should be to audition, be a country singer and get kicked off early… country fans/radio seem to love idol contestants.
AI has no credibility because they've used ringers in the past. Sounds like Pacitti has a good lawsuit.

I appreciate you sticking up for Joanna because she deserves the same chance as the previous contestants with prior recording deals had (i.e. Carly Smithson, Kristy Lee Cook,etc). But Joanna's situation was different because her former manager and friend as well as someone else working for 19 Entertainment worked their magic to get her in, and she was cut to avoid America sending hate mail to Fox about letting someone compete who has a strong friendship with the producers or execs (aka impropriety).
But you are TOTALLY wrong about Kara writing most of her songs on her self titled album… where do you get your information from?? Joanna wrote or co-wrote almost every track on her album " This Crazy Life"… she also has or at one time had a contract with EMI publishing, so get your facts straight before making a comment like that.
