Michael Jackson Suffering From Severe Skin Infection!

Michael Jackson is reportedly suffering from a serious staph-like skin infection, which he might have contracted during cosmetic surgery.
The infection enters the skin through an open wound, where it takes hold and is often resistant to conventional antibiotics.
Doctors, who are not treating Jackson but are familiar with the disease, say that judging from recent photos of Jacko, it appears that he is suffering from either a staph infection or MRSA. In the most severe cases of the infection, the affected skin requires reconstruction.
If caught early, however, the patient stands a good chance of recovery, and Michael is apparently receiving antibiotics via an IV drip.

i love it when perez tries to explain people's medical problems. MRSA and staph are the same thing, the difference is just that MRSA is an antibiotic-resistant form. just stick to the simple facts, p-nasty!

you have no idea what you're talking about perez. i'm in the hospital as we speak with a bone infection and all my cultures grew out staph. staph lives on your skin and enters your body when it has the opportunity. most all IV antibiotics can cure staph, even the superbug mrsa. MRSA can be cured with IV vaconmycin!!! MRSA is only resistant to a certain group of antibiotics (the penicillin family). Believe me, if my medical care can cure my bone infection then I'm sure MJ will have no issues clearing his skin infection. Perez you're an idiot

Well, that really doesn't look like MRSA to me. My grandfather was struck w/it when he was in the hospital recently. It is a boil-like lump under the skin w/a skin infection radiating around that. Usually it breaks capillaries, causing the skin to become very red and irritated. I've never known it to cause the skin in other parts of the body to become purple, but then again, I've never seen anyone who really lets it go - usually ppl get the treatment right away.

FYI:
MRSA (Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus) is a type of staph infection. Therefore, Michael cannot either have MRSA or a staph infection. Also, if that is, in fact, what Michael is suffering from, it doesn't look like his hands are the source (although they do look rather disturbing).
This is yet one more lie. Elizabeth Taylor taught Pedo Pan a long time ago that when things are going bad, pretend to be sick. But I don't think she meant in the head though . . .

Re: Amazing Grace – Thanks. But the media sensationalizes MRSA to be something that cannot be cured. They obviously have developed drugs that kill MRSA and MRSE. Also, when people acquire skin/bone infections it's 90% of the time Staph. In fact, Infectious Disease docs WANT it to be staph because if it's something like Strep, it's rare and harder to pinpoint/kill.
Perez just pisses me off because he has no idea what he's talking about!!! Like usual. He needs to stick to gossip and not weigh in medically because he's been wrong 100% of the time.
Also, there are plenty of things they can do to repair damaged skin/tissue. Rotational flaps, free flaps, skin grafts. I'm sure whatever is wrong with him was caught early. After having your skin bleached I'm sure you check up with the doctors on a regular basis. USE YOUR HEAD PEREZ.
Finally Perez your actually nice and somewhat sympathetic to Michael. If indeed this is true I hope people finally realize that he is Human and gets sick etc. like everybody else. If this is the truth his representive will either come out and confirm this or will just say nothing. Get well Michael!!! (if this is true that is). He is a very private person so he will never come out and say whether or not this is true or crap.

Look up the skin disease. That is why he never wears clothes that reveal his arms and legs, he has to protect is skin from sunlight (hence the reason for the umbrella and blazers and long sleeves worn in the summer). It's said that the burn he received to his head from the Pepsi commercial back in the 80's flared up the Vitiligo disease. Vitiligo crops up between the ages of 10 and 30 and can be brought along by serious injuries. No your facts people!

Ok just so were clear, MRSA can not be "seen" in a photo they culture for it. You don't have to have open skin to get it, just breathing in can be enough to get it…and…they DONT very often require reconstruction. Might want to check out some medical facts before you start posting crap
MRSA is resistant to methacillian and sometimes it is also resistant to vancomycin then we call it MRSA and VRE
most nurses have MRSA, because when we take admissions to a hospital we test for MRSA a groin, nares and if applicable wound culture but it takes 3 days to grow.

MRSA is a resistant strain of staph and is more difficult to cure and more contagious than just a regular staph infection. As a skin infection it usually appears as a boil or large pimple. The skin will be red and swollen, but this can also be in a pre-existing wound or in the lungs. This infection is not necessarily life threatening unless the host has an already compromised immune system. His hands do not look like MRSA but my some sort of loss of circulation
