Tara Reid Rehab HIGHlights

Tara Reid just completed a 60 day detox program at celeb fave Promises in Malibu and she's already pimped out her rehab story to InTouch Weekly!

She tells the mag, "Rehab saved my life. Before, I used to think about tomorrow and I hated it. Now, I can't wait because I am clean and sober and I am excited. I wanted a future, and that wasn't going to happen with what I was doing before."

Don't be a Lohan, Terror! Hope this sober thing sticks for you!

Tara goes on to tell the mag that it was her alcohol use, not drugs, that was the problem.

Here are some of the sit down HIGHlights:

Q. What made you go to rehab?
A. In November, I was in Israel at the Western Wall. You write a prayer on a paper and fold it up and put it in the wall. One of the things I wished for was health and happiness and something changed inside me. I realized partying is not what I am anymore.

Q. Was alcohol the only reason?
A. Yes. I never had a problem with drugs. When I go back to when my life went wrong, it all came back to alcohol. I wasn't myself completely and I wasn't happy. I numbed my feelings. It was no life to live.

Q. Why do you think you drank so much?
A. Part of it was the image I had. When I went out, everyone always wanted to have a drink with me. Because I was known as this fun party girl, I became that person. I was doing shots with people, and I didn't know when enough was enough. One drink is too many, and 1,000 aren't enough.

Q. Any other reasons?
A. I was actually shy in real life, and I felt like everyone was judging me and watching me. I think I drank because it gave me a kind of confidence.

Q. How bad did it get?
A. I have sleeping problems so I would drink to pass out and sleep. I was more of a night drinker.

Q. Are you eager to get back to acting?
A. Do you know how grateful I will be if I start acting again? It'll mean so much to me. I'll give it everything I have. I can't wait!

We'll be watching, Tara!

Don't slip up!

Get back to acting,… when did she start? I'd still throw her a bang.

  7. 7

I must say I feel a little sorry for her. She can't really act and can barely get by on a reality show but she's still human I guess so best of luck to her.

Start staying in at night Tara, like most people - you'll be fine that way!

  10. 10

will anyone ever hire her again?

Note to future/present and past rehabbers: Bill called it anonymous because those of us who are able to drink without screwing up our lives have little sympathy for attention seeking newly sober twits who think they deserve a reward for doing what we all do without reward or attention, zip it! Then buck up and deal!

Everyone knows alcohol messes with your sleep cycle. Not a good choice for a sleep aid.

As a 13-year veteran of sobriety myself, I can tell you that the best thing you can do is GET NEW FRIENDS. Avoid everybody you used to hang out with. It's the only way to really kick…

America's own Amy Winehouse! Haven't we been through this with her one too many times already?!?! I predict it will last perhaps 3 years before she slips up.
